I was coming to ask the EXACT same thing. Cant be right.

Heatsinks:
  • Dissipation rate increased to 0.14 (from 0.13)
  • Heat capacity reduced to 0.75 (from 1.3)

Double Heatsinks (Both Inner Sphere and Clan)
  • Dissipation rate increased to 0.22 (from 0.15)
  • No more division between engine and externally based heat sinks. All dissipation rates are now at a consistent 0.22 per-heat sink.
  • Heat Capacity reduced to 0.5 (from 1.5)

Both Laser and ATM are unchanged?

HLL still 18, cERML 7 and ATM spread like before the patch?

FPS are in single digits? Mostly when missiles are firing

Massive fps drops. Unplayable sometimes. Seems to affect many players at the same time.

We're aware of the FPS issue and a hot fix will be scheduled for it shortly.

I have only test in testing ground but lrm's seems to do MASSIVE FPS loss.

So the Mad cat MKii which is by far the most grossly overpowered mech in game still gets away with murder.

That mech above all else needs a defensive ability reduction.

Well I log in today with a rare chance to play during the week and BAM ... update that is unpleasant and completely unplayable game. Swinging the nerf bat like clubbing baby seal was kinda not nice but the frame rates? I have a high end system and the tearing and glitching is impossible to deal, makes you nauseous looking at it. 1 match and I had to leave which really sucks since I'm on my last day of premium time which means I loose it. I seriously don't understand why this dev team repeatedly does things that cheese off the customers. You have the sheer unmitigated gal to say that these changes help keep with the lore while at the same time neuter the Clan Mechs that lore clearly shows to be vastly superior. When customers like myself submit a ticket for a bug that costs us or affects us you treat us like trash and refuse to accept that your product has bugs, but oh hey would I like to buy another mech pack? Answer - not anymore thank you.

I am watching jujushinobi's stream testing the new patch changes. Pretty much laser vomit in lights and mediums has been buffed all across the board being able to alpha more times before overheating.

ALSO LRMS ARE SUPER BUFFED being able to alpha way more times before overheating. THEY ARE ALMOST HEAT NEUTRAL IF FIRED BELOW THE GHOST HEAT LIMIT!

However, Single Heat Sinks(SHS) are still inferior to Dual Heat Sinks(DHS).
I think it would be interesting if PGI were to make SHS has higher heat capacity and has lower heat dissipation than DHS.
That way there might be reasons for people to put SHS into their build for super high alphas but it will take alot longer to cool down to fire another alpha.

Oh yeah good idea for PGI for adding quirks so mechs like the awesome can fire 3ppcs without ghost heat. This is a great way to make unpopular mech chassis fun and viable again like the awesome in future mwo updates.

Would like to report poor performance when using locked missiles. Frame rates stutter until all missiles are destroyed. Tested for Clan LRMs and ATMs. IS Streaks seem fine.

Also strange behavior where the missiles are overshooting the target and landing behind them, despite being within correct range.
