A topic that has had much discussion, yet little seems to have changed, a few minor buff/nerfs aside. To me it does not seem that hard, maybe im missing something.

1. 3 min games/10 mins to get into the next game NOT fun

Simple solution more armour for all mechs 10% 50% hell 100% till you find an amount that gives a good match time. Call it an armor BUFF and everyone is happy.

There must be one # in the code that determines the armour/damage ratio, it could be as simple as changing one number.

2. Friendly fire, is annoying as hell NOT fun (apart from for tking trolls), just remove it.

3, Walk forward a step ...crunch into the back of the guy in front backpedaling, try to go back, crunch into the guy stuck up your *** now multiply that 10 times...thats mechs trying to go round a corner to push. NOT fun, remove collision for same team members.

Just a couple of ideas if your willing to think outside the normal little box of buff this a bit , nerf this a bit forever :)

I don't think more armor is going to make the game more fun. More care in where you go and how you position yourself relative to the enemy and your own team would help with that. As well as help with bumping into people. I know the go to strategy is to murder ball. But sometimes it's better to find another path, fan out, or just wait. I'm going to have to disagree with turning friendly fire off. It's already very light on the 'sim' aspects, let's not take away one more bit of a quasi-realism. ;o

Wait times unfortunately won't get better without the playerbase growing again.

OR just start thinking about positioning instead of trying to squeeze 7 mechs through a chokepoint......

No.

If you don't like FF then don't step in front of friendlies shooting and keep aware of where your allies are.

If you don't like collisions then don't jam yourself into a press of morons trying to fit as many mechs into a phone booth as possible. This kind of goes with the first.

Thats you fault ...hold a position or do not straight in line back and Forward or better search a new position ...the enemy is awaiting you by the same postion and give you a Alpha when im seeing thats a little cp come again in the Windows...Tactical Awarness is the important Factor

With the new "heat doesn't matter" patch having drop in drop out with respawn would be perfect.

PGI better make the respawn mode fun to play cause getting stuck with a brain dead team is a torture multiplied, when having respawns.

You know what's less fun than dying 3 sec after you waddle out into the open?

4 players shooting at an enemy mech walking into the open and doing insignificant damage.

You know what is less fun for new players than losing more matches than they win?

Losing even more because increased ttk means consistency trumps luck so the better players win even more and the seals get clubbed harder.

Be careful whar you wish for.

OP......what is there to say....

The only way MWO can be fun again is to un-nerf everything back to December of 2016, remove the 91 skill nodes and reconfigure the nodes to "enhancements" versus "getting back what PGI took" and limiting teams to three players....

Of course, you could have four teams of three but, no unit could provide more that six players.... Look at it this way, if large teams worked, why did they destroy them by creating Solaris and then, MW5???

You want fun? Create a MM that uses Combat Effectiveness (CE) that is both a mech and pilot stat that when combine, is a unique metric...... get rid of the tiers and use CE. By the way, it is being worked on as we speak at several Universities that teach game creation.......

You want fun? Fix the freaking maps and create "destructible" building and solid objects. Imagine Solaris City when the building start to come apart and start blocking alleys and roads....

You want fun? When you un-nerf the mechs, precision returns..... The open battlefields now are seriously dangerous for 1/2 the population and the close battle fields become very violent and engagements become fast and decisive.... Skill then, becomes a metric to CE: how good are you really? W/L is influenced by 11 others. CE is what you do every day....

You want fun? Market the game and have "in game" customer support on-line every night actually playing the game and being available to remediate "bad behaviors"..... Enforce the CoC.

There are a few changes I'd make immediately.

Not a problem with an objective based game mode.

Each team has a health bar, one blue and one red.

Each team needs to capture certain points on the map, just like Conquest in MWO.

If one team is really bad it would fail to capture or lose these capture points in heavy disproportion. The more caps goes to one team, the HP bar accelerates faster for the winning team and depletes faster for the losing team.

This causes the game to reach victory condition for one team early and ahead of schedule, and ends the game quick.

All the above is not my idea. Its something I have seen already in practice.

I haven't played in years. Since ever MWO became an "e-sport-type-twitch-fest", my fun factor was lost forever. Maybe MW5 will be better.
