I'd like to just have the C-Bill boost item, see the problem is, I already own the offered Mechs, in fact, most of them, so the offer is pretty much useless for someone like me. Yeah yeah, I know, lol.

And don't you have like 500M C-Bills pilled up? Maybe more?

I think it's a bit late to come with this idea of items boosting currency.

From one point of view, it's encouraging to see PGI trying out different types of sales over the past few months. If I were a new player, these dropship deals would be just the kind of sale that would appeal to me, given that we no longer have the 'rule of three' for improving mech performance.

For any new players reading this, please be aware that the Inner Sphere (IS) option on this specific sale would (at the time of this posting) be relatively poor value for money. The issue is that, in this specific sale, the mechs are divided strictly by faction (Clan or IS).

For equivalent tonnage, Clan mechs individually cost a lot more than IS mechs, whether in terms of C-Bills (in-game currency) or real money (whether purchased directly or through MechWarrior Credits). IS mechs typically also need a significant amount of C-Bills for equipment upgrades after purchase, whereas most Clan mechs don't need this (as they come with most upgrades already installed). For a given amount of real money, if we aren't able to combine Clan and IS mechs in our purchase, we should be getting more IS mechs than Clan mechs. This principle has been reflected in other sales recently, where IS mechs have generally been assigned to price tiers lower than Clan mechs of equivalent tonnage.

I'd like to suggest to PGI that the number of IS heavy mechs for $20 be increased from five to at least eight, for the reasons mentioned above. Thanks for considering. Posted Image

Hello all,

For a newer player low on cbills, there are some wickedly good Clan heavies to be had in this sale. Pretty good value imho for those players.

Good hunting,

Essentially...you're paying $20 to get five mech bays and a cbill item and some mechs you can just buy for cbills already. Or you could just ignore a 5% bonus item, and spend $15 on MC, which with the current sale bonus gets you 3900MC, which is enough for a locust bundle in game and 2 extra mech bays. You'll have a 100MC or so leftover, 17 bonus loot bags which will probably get you some more MC, 3 mechs of which 1 is a hero and 1 a champion, and 30 days of premium time.

Whats the point of farming cbills if I was going to pay real moonie for cbill mechs .

Pay 20 bucks for cbill mechs and get 5 percent cbill boost item ? Or pay 20 bucks for mc and get mc bonus and bonus lootbags then buy a 30 percent cbill boost hero mech ? Yeah thats a tough call to make ....

Add to that fact there is cbill mechs on 50 percent discount plus a loot bag event to pay for mechbays even at full price .

I love you PGI and I love giving ya my money but the only cbill mechs i wanna pay real money for are mechpacks loaded with titles , badges , premium time and cockpit goodies .

I am looking forward to the next hero bundle. especially when it comes with the Asp Hero. I will definitely invest in that one, together with the Fafnir hero, Boiler and one other, maybe Cobra Cat?

*pulls off imaginary E-glove and smacks the nearest PGI salesman* No! no.....no! Bad PGI, bad! We are not cows, stop trying to milk us on cbill mechs.

If you want people to buy more freebie mechs with real money, give more incentive than $20 for a 5% cbill item. What you WANT is something along the lines of pick 2-3 cbill mechs, pick a camo pattern and three colors for $20. Ditch the 5% cb/xp cockpit items and put in a 'hero/champion' type item for 30%cbill or xp boost - buy it on its own install it in whatever mech you like, but its one-use/permanent so use wisely. (IE no swapping it freely to make all your mechs hero mechs)

Edit: Actually, when was the last time a new camo pattern was put in?

IMO $20 for 5 mechs is a good deal.
Plus 1 cbill buff Hanging item getting thrown in is great deal.

But for its been available for over a year-n-half to anyone buying the packs below.
https://mwomercs.com/civil-war
https://mwomercs.com...-war-escalation
https://mwomercs.com/evolution
IMO the early adopter and ultimate packs to get all 8 cbill+XP buff items was the way to go.
And for those who could purchase anything they help support PGI and kept the servers running.

"This idea of items boosting currency" is not new and whats the point..........
30 percent cbill boost hero mech
5 percent Standing Item (equip on that mech)
5 percent Hanging Item (equip on that mech)
10 percent C-Bill and XP - Tournament Supporter Pack
50 percent C-Bill and XP - Premium Time
==============================
100% percent boost

Just to make this crystal.
All that stuff lets me earn CBills (or xp lol) twice as fast.

If you want to spend money, on this consider your options. carefully .

If it's to pick up a mech here or there, to round out collections or collect doubles to make a drop deck it's a pretty good deal.

If you ever plan on getting a hero mech don't get any of the mechs available in a standard pack, as it will cost you a lot more in the long run.

Your better off buying the standard three pack, with the premium, and a few nick nack's then up grading with the hero.

Buying the MC will put you out of pocket, if you are purchasing it just for the Hero mech, plus mech bay.

I'd guess this gets increasingly unlikely, since they'd have to create the skins for all mechs currently in the game.
Without having counted them, assuming 20 patterns per faction and 80 chassis, all factions combined.
A new chassis needs 22 skins, the existing 20 plus a hero and a (S) pattern.
A new pattern would need 80 skins, so close to 4 times as many.
