We do inventory on tuesdays, it's one of the reasons I'm never online on a Tuesday, Thursday I'm the only chef on the line with 4 cooks beside me, so it's usually a 14 hour day, and Saturday is one of our busiest days of the week. Where I work a good 10-14. If comp was on monday/Wednesdays I'd be able to do it.

Different teams do practice on different days. I think 228 used to do Monday/Tuesday practices, but I'm not entirely sure. Practice days tend to gravitate to the days where the most amount of people could make it. 2017 EmP used to do Tues/Weds practices, while 2018 EmP does Tues/Thurs.

Ye we spent 3h per week during this WC: 2h is one scrim with EON, 1h is the game itself + for me 1h on figuring out drop decks. But we had familiar to comp players after last season of MRBC and at least 5-6 players in each drop played previous WC.

I mean when EMP were actually dedicated in WC2017 I heard they trained quite a lot. But even then my bet it was not much then 2-3 days of 3-4h which is not even close to half-time job.

WC2017 we practiced Tues/Wed for 2-2.5hrs per practice starting late May and then all through summer. The 2 weeks prior to Semi's, we ramped it up to 4x/week for 2 weeks, then took 2 weeks off after we secured 1st seed. 2 weeks prior to Mech Con we ramped it up to every night (practiced every night between Nov 26 through Dec 1, took Dec 2 off, then practiced Dec 3 through Dec 6, arriving at Mech Con Dec 9th. I remember feeling burned out from so much practice by the time we hit Mech Con, but winning made it all worth it. We are definitely no where near that amount of practice this year.

There's a master spreadsheet that details every single EmP practice dating back to WC2016, with every practice match screenshotted.

Keep repeating what I said out of context. Maybe another 3 times and you'll finally feel like you've really put this noob in his place?

You play this videogame what? 3-4 hours every single day? Maybe if you work a little harder you can finally achieve the most important thing in life, those 3 sacred letters next to your game name, good luck

Oh this is getting good ;) btw I think ash is saying he only spend 2hrs twice a week to actually get better aka practice/scrims, which is quite a bit less then most people think require you to stay at the top. Let's be honest, the other hours he spend playing solo, group, faction does little to nothing and some instance can dull your skills.

Come on reckless, I like to think my hours spent lurming people in FP drops really helps to improve my skills for comp matches.

It does, doesn't it? It is the best long ranged DPS weaponry. Not only that, PGI helps to guide your lurms with such accuracy. Be prepared for MWOWC19 to include lurm strats at this rate, if there is one that is.

I mean I've not played as much in recent months, but getting 24+ pilots on at the same time was always incredibly rare in the last couple of years.

However, getting 15 or 16, all in the same channel on Cbr1, or PUGS United, or the BCMC before Comstar NA was abandoned, or whatever the preferred BCMC+EVIL+Friends channel happened a lot.

Often times enough for two groups of 6-8 'elite' pilots to carry pugs, but it was very rare that they would ever split the group to get fair matches against each other - whenever it was attempted, one group would always disband, presumably when they realised they would have to put some individual effort in.

I understand why people play FP... I played pretty much exclusively FP for the same reasons, but my point is that a lot of the abuse for 'gen-rushing' units goes too far, and is often from pilots who really aren't that good when they're not being carried by the top 0.5% players.

Nonsense, most of the guys I play with pug and do smaller groups. Are there a few who you never see alone in the wild? Sure, but not the majority. Consider as well a good deal of the time when there is not an event going we are not even running 12 or that we put ourselves open lfg to get some bodies.

I mean why wouldn't I pug? I am one of those not 99%er's and off on my own I actually look like a decent player.

I like fighting the BCM/EVIL/Friends group that runs around.Allways a hard fight (brutal truth be told) but allways friendly. And sure I may know Im gonna get ruined but against those guys Ive got my own next high score against them to beat,or even better, those moments when you genuinely out play someone much better.Sure my damage score is gonna be crap..but those little moments of "HAH!!! Got 'em!!" make it much more fun-and something to look forward to.
The only thing that really breaks my spirit is Alpine and Polar...a pox on those maps!

Yeah I didn't think it was that hard to understand.

Just out of curiosity.

Who do you train against?. There can't be too many of your caliber that can offer much of a challenge to improve your own skills.

EmP fields internal 8vs8s, for instance, right now we have 18 (14 tagged EmP 2 recruits, and 2 friends pressed into service). Any winnings from MWOWC is split across all practice participants based on % attendance to practice.
