I’m curious to see what incentives can be tossed our way for those that bought it but at the same time I do not feel entitled to more free stuff. Watching this thread with interest.

Spoken like the sleaziest of used car salesmen...
I hate to indulge in salt, but this is honestly what came to my mind.
I want to be optimistic, but PGI has undermined my trust and hopes so consistently that it's really difficult to give them the benefit of the doubt.
I think that comes through pretty clearly in the comments of the youtube videos for MWO/MW5 content - people feel that PGI is the used-car salesman.

Considering the unusual circumstances of the situation as well as to placate potential future outcriers against the salve, I can think of a couple of solutions
An easy/mediocre fix? give pre-orders some special bolt ons that are ready at release, or additional camo/colors.
A great fix? give pre-orders beta access to MW5 and start that as an incentive program for future pre-orders.

Not over the top, but does give something extra by way of apology for the miscommunication.

However, I am deeply concerned that it took days for them even to realize the gaffe. Which is really obvious.....we know they don’t read the forums (which someone there should, just to catch stuff that goes wrong or gets communicated wrong), but no one else (except Matt) at PGI even reads their own twitter feed (or worse, knows what plans they really have)?!?! Because it should have been an easy “hey Matt what are you talking about on Twitter?..., we don’t have anything secret planned linked to the Warhammer IIC pre-order” phone call from any of the brass at PGI.....tweet could have been taken down and reposted within hours.....not days later

Jokes aside, thanks for the commitment to make things right. I plan to keep the pack and I trust the outcome will be good.

3 points I want to make before I start groveling.
- Russ didn't make the Tweet. I did.
- I was trying to remind people about the early adopter rewards ending.
- I was trying to hint at the Holiday bonus Giveaway.
- you will get bonus redeems in the Stocking Stuffer event
I totally see what I have done now. The implication is pretty clear that purchasing the Mech Pack would get you something exclusive and it didn't. It caused excitement and speculation (and a definite FOMO) in the worst possible way. I am really and truly sorry for the frustration this has caused. A bad move on my part and while it wasn't my intention, it was definitely the reality. I own it 100% and won't make the same mistake again.
OK, so how do we move past this?
Option 1 Refunds
- You CAN get a refund on your Warhammer anytime from now up to delivery no questions asked. That is our policy for mech preorders and I think it a good one (I also happen to manage the Customer Service department)
- We usually do not to do Refunds after delivery (unmodified) as it is a messy process but it is possible.
- We Generally don't refund after a mech has been used or modified as the content is considered consumed. There have been exceptions to this is extreme situations.
- In some cases, we come up with a method of compensation in the hopes of making it worth it for you to keep the product. (open to Ideas here saw some good ones in the thread already and have a couple of my own)
So I hope you accept my apology for ******* up this hard on a twitter post and I hope we can move forward and turn this into a positive for you guys.
I know I won't be able to make all of you happy but I am going to try.
Matt Newman.
I can honestly say that PR departments the world over can learn from this post. While it might not satisfy everyone, nothing ever does, but at least this was honest, owning of the ****, and attempting to lay out what is possible to those that were affected. Good job buddy.

somedays I miss the swirly lrms ...
An interesting thought.
This makes me wish we could select our wanted tube size when attaching various Missile Launchers to a Mech, as to allow launch splitting. PGI's Developers messed up my HGN-733P when they updated for the New Civil War Tech, as they forced 10 extra tubes on the Mech's Left Arm where I have an LRM20 Equipped and wanted it to split the firing into two groupings of 10 each. I was even starting to think of paying out and adding Artemis to that setup in particular to make it more powerful, but now all those extra tubes ruin it as a Large 20 Missile Blob that's totally too wide and wasteful of a shot. I'm now going to have to look at redesigning the loadout into something less powerful because of that, or something equally as unwieldy.
That change to the game really took the phrase "Emergent Gameplay" and ripped it to little tiny pieces. Plus, all those extra tubes don't even have Camo Paint on the outside either, making my poor Mech's arm stick out like a sore thumb. And just for the note, MRMs are essentially not even choked by the tube sizes in terms of how fast they launch.

No hard feelings from me at all.
I respect that you owned the issue, apologised for it, and are trying to make amends.
