Appreciate the honesty, sincerity and ownership although it felt bad being a victim of "less than impressive" marketing ad.
The reason I had not bought WHM IIC in the first place was the "meh" hard points. Improve them and I am sure people will want to buy without thinking about bonus/rewards.

Secondly, this has been repeatedly mentioned, grinding new mechs are painful. Why hasn't GSP or GXP being included as rewards or better yet, part of the package? Yes some people have plenty of GSP reserves, but prob minority.

I am not lacking of premium time, and Cbills, so I am not sure if those would entice me not to cancel the order. But ideally some damage control actions need to be taken.

As a Mech Romney with a vault of hoarded Spacebucks™ I agree.

The best option would probably be an extra variant that has ballistic capabilities, perhaps one ballistic hardpoint per arm (torso ballistics might be asking too much given the existence of the Maul hero). Other stuff like GSP/GXP would be okay but wouldn't really feel special enough (the original Twitter post implied something more unique).

Another timeline jump to get stuff like HAGs is just not gonna happen for a while, and it certainly won't happen over a single little mech pack miscommunication.

Which is exactly why I think a PGI version of the -5 is ideal. I mean, I'm still confused why it wasn't in the reinforcement pack to begin with. The lack of said PGI original almost makes me think that would be the free hero version, but the chassis as a whole needs a ballistic option that isn't tied behind MC only. :\

Thank you for the update, Matt.
As a compensation I really do not think Matt can achieve another variant of the WHM-IIC.
More realistic would be to grant access to the MW5 closed beta as it does not cost PGI anything. (keeping fingers crossed - ikr)

GJ Matt. Open communication about a mistake is the way to handle it. It creates respect and helps people get calmed down.

I suspect speculation about the jobs of PGI people who aren't communicating or following up is not welcome in the thread... or perhaps they are only spending 5% of their time on MWO?

I think that some SP's as a compensation is a good for all choice.They are quite valuable and don't require much work for you. Please think about it.

Based on your response, Matt, I will not be cancelling my preorder, at least not right now. I'll wait and see what the "Other Compensation" is. It's important to acknowledge blunders... but owning it right away instead of making up excuses goes a long way. Thanks for that.

I'm willing to grant the benefit of the doubt until or unless something else goes sideways- after all, we've still got until March February to cancel the Clan Wham, so it can't hurt to wait at this point.

The only other thing that comes to mind for me mech wise is bonus consideration for the Turkina to be the next clan assault mech to be released...

Thank you for being honest and responding to us Matt, in a growing world of apathetic or aloof game devs, it’s good to see some onus and reconciliation. I’ll still keep tabs on what the possible solution is that you have, so I will keep my mech bundle and be happy with it, knowing I made a good investment.

I went with a refund. Its not that big of a deal. I knew when I bought it I had this option and that's why I bought it.

I am still disappointed we didn't see anything new for mwo but that's not on you.
