Clan RACs and an XXL400 engine, you'd have to swap out of a ton of things to get that variant to work in MWO. The Warhammer IIC 5 only requires swapping of two HAG20s to LB 10-Xs or UAC/10s which would be much easier.

you would have to do zero of that. you name it, you give it hardpoints.

@D V: Tube count has no affect on the spread.

Not my mileage, and a learning experience for you... I've actually got the hard experience of using an LRM20 through a 10-Tube Missile HardPoint, and it splits the shot into the Shape & Spread of 2xLRM10 launches. I even compared it to an actual LRM10's Shape & Spread, and it appeared an exact match on every launch! B)

It felt to me like it was "working as designed" on the HGN-733P, and then PGI went and changed things rather unnecessarily with 10 Additional Tubes. Frankly, if PGI would provide launch size control, it would go a long way to handling a number of issues with gameplay, inclusive of those "Pure LRM Boats" that everyone detests... Particularly those on the Inner Sphere side of the Tech Base. Frankly, I hope PGI does NOT ruin a certain other Mech that I've got now. I'm already thinking of filing a Bug Report over this matter.

Something unique as compensation. And have some early beta testers for jihad era.
The chassis is hardpoint starved with 2B 2E and 1M so its not too valuable.
Warhammer IIC 5.
Change the missile HP to shoulder mount for less art work.
Fix the HAGs as fixed omnimech slots for testing purposes.

Hag/20.
Gauss rifle model for now.
20 shot duration 1.25 seconds.
5.5 second cooldown.
Charge up like gauss rifle.
0.70 damage/shot 0-60m
60-240m 1.1 dam/shot
240-480 1 dam/shot
480 to 720m 0.9 dam/shot.
Falloff dmg to 1440m.

Velocity 1800m/s.

DPS is roughly normalised compared to normal gauss rifle.
Damage profile includes minimum range to differentiate from normal Gauss and LRMs.
10% bonus in short range. 10% penalty at long range to simulate cluster table modifiers.

HAG 30 and HAG 40 can change the base damage to 1.5 and 2.0/ shot.
HAG30 cooldown 6.0s
HAG40 cooldown 6.5s

Alternatively HAGs could charge up a bank of shots with cooldown being the total time to recharge the entire bank. Charge up starts 0.75s after last shot.
Fire rate would be 0.06s/shot ; you do not have to fire the entire bank.

The most we could hope for is an extra variant, as early adopters of the IIC packs in the past have received.

Hey, All

I'm back in the office today and investigating what can be done to compensate.
I will update you when I have more details.
You will know what we are doing by EOD Friday at the latest.

Thanks for your patience,

To minimize the number of refunds, I humbly suggest a free variant to all who preordered, with the following hardpoints:

H: 1E
LA: 1E
LT: 1B 1E
RT: 1B 1E
RA: 1E

This variant can be created by mixing available hardpoints, so no additional art work required. It will also eventually be available for CBills, removing the P2W hero arguments.

I humbly suggest you should implement quad mechs.

That fails, we don’t need any more mechs. Despite that, I see logic in nightbird’s argument. I would think beta access MW5 around the time the WHM-IIC drops would be pretty smart. Esp considering st that point the game will only be 7 months down the pipeline, and you will absolutely want feedback to make the best product possible.

Just want to say that I currently don't think there will be anything MW5 Related to a purchase made in MWO and definatly not in this case.

You want a free, PGI variant that is also by far the best available, even better than the WHM-IIC-5. I think you can understand how unreasonable of an ask that is.

*shrug* They don't have to grant anything. Or they can give out a free color or cockpit item. I was only trying to think of something that would ensure no one who pre-ordered because of that tweet would ask for a refund.

I already ordered the Hero, makes no difference to me.

Well, thats why I advocated for a "mostly" fixed variant of the WH IIC-5.

Just a taste of Jihad era with 2x Fixed HAG/20 in the arms.

Not too good in itself since it has 5 hardpoints of which 2 are low hung fixed weapons in the arms.

Something which is not OP in itself.

But something that does live up to the unfortunate Tweets expectations.

I'd didn't go this route because it requires new art assets for the new hardpoints which no other chassis has. That would be a tough sell, even w/o considering the issue of HAGs.
