Seriously, though, much as I haven't been playing this game lately, I think I'll swing by on... what was it, the 27th? -need to double-check and set my calendar- ...on that day since I have nothing better to do, and--like other Canadians--I like free stuff! (Especially anything with that much weight behind it; oh, the customization options!)

I don't see any game issues fixed yet so no, this won't make me install MWO again. And why would you give something away for free and then get a bunch of refund requests lol.

Makes one hope that they'll run the Holiday Loot Bag Event for at least 14 Days in tandem with a structure that's reminiscent of the Suggestion Framework that I posted back on Page 5 for their thoughts and use. As for what Pick-A-Prize Items they'll make available -- and what the Loot Bags will give -- is something I totally leave to them.

But, I'm sure by now everyone knows how I favor literally anything other than 'Standing Cockpit Items' & 'Active Premium Time' in those Loot Bags. Hey, maybe we could totally dump those and Consumables, and aim in favor of a lot more (MC)/(C-Bills)/'Hanging & Mounted Cockpit Items'/'GXP (General XP)' in them?

By the way... Should I be calling these Loot Bags something else? Perhaps "Stocking Stuffers" instead? I have the feeling my terminology is a bit off for the current time of year!

Hi there! Any chance you checked out the "Alpha Balance PTS v2.0 & 2.1" that happened a few months back? If you didn't, then you really missed out on a positive change to MWO. PGI did take part of the lessons from that and managed an enjoyable improvement to the Heat Management issues that were making people a bit nuts. So, you might want to reinstall MWO and at least see how your Mech Designs fare under the changed systems.

Oh, and don't let Pain G0D's reply to you there get on your nerves. Come hop into the fray!

Remember, the IIC variants are battlemechs. Not omnis. Which means you may want to hang onto it. They never tell us what these "Happy Holiday" mechs are going to look like load-out and hard-point-wise... Although, I must add, I was very pleased with the SNS-VG in particular that they gave us last year! It has become a favorite. Plus, if you already ordered WHM-IIC, you get all the early adopter goodies (if you even care about that sort of thing). I would wait a little longer to cancel your order. You have until it is released and the items are injected onto your account, which I believe would be until your first login to the game after the WHM-IIC patch. I think. Maybe. Something like that...

As others have said, this is not really an event. It is a gift... A grab-bag if you will. And on a day when a lot of people are actually getting back into town from their holiday. I think one game where you contributed just a little bit to the team is not too much to ask in exchange for two free hero mechs/mechbays, 6 milion c-bills, 1250 MC, 25 loot bags, and... and... AND 7 days premium time! First world problems, indeed. If you are that sad to miss it, buy yourself a gaming laptop for Christmas and login wherever you're at...
