I am actually pretty cool with the stock loadout - I mean I will probably dump the streaks for a different flavor of missile - but I like it.
Could probably do a light variant of the MadCat Mk2 - double gauss, 3er med, and a pair of lurm 10s... any way you cut it, I like it.

Thanks Matt and Russ for talking and making this mech come to fruition! Love how different it is than the rest of the whammys iic's!

Thanks again for owning up to a mistake and working on doing the right thing.
Now to see the the complainers in the thread.

The "-A" designation on a Battlemech indicates a 'mech invented by PGI that is not part of the original canon. Same goes for all the other Clan Battlemechs. (Nearly all of them have at least one example, as there weren't 5, or even 3, Canon variants for PGI to use to make a 'mech pack).

The Corsair is not comparable because the MWO twitter feed didn't make a comment urging people to place a pre-order before Mech Con and that people might regret if they did not pre-order. This only happened with the Whammy IIC.

Well, I haven't started tweeting the countdown for the Corsair yet so I guess there is a Chance I will **** that up.

Why? The entire point of the extra variant is to make amends for the accidental FOMO that happened due to a miscommunication. No such thing happened with the Corsair. Further, this also resolves one of the larger complaints the WHM-IIC variants created: lack of hardpoint variety. It was all energy based except for one missile boat, with virtual duplicate variants, and no ballistic options outside of the hero. Now there's a ballistic option, making this a well rounded overall chassis.
