idk what the big deal is about killing what little variety the game has, and it doesn't have much.

yes we need to consolidate popultions. shotgunning it all over the place was a bad idea. qp, gq, fp, scouting, solaris. the bulk of the modes need to be consolidated into a more robust custom games system. it would need a lobby browser so lobbies currently being hosted can be found. want an 8v8 with a 50 ton cap, join that, want to do conquest with a drop deck and a 2500 cap limit you can do that too, if what you want to play doesnt exist, make your own lobby.

at the bare minimum id keep qp, and fp and custom games. i suppose you could bring solaris on line for a seasonal solaris tourney. or bring scouting on line for specific fp events. add gq tonnage rules and map/mode voting to fp. and put the q back into qp, by getting rid of voting, simplifying the matchmaker and maybe even cutting it back to 8v8.

You know what? I'm going to put my Hope hat on and tell you all that PGI removed Escort to create something with it based on the suggestions given in the other thread. Maybe the AI will be gone and one of the players will be randomly chosen as a VIP or something. You might ask, "Then why did they remove it?". The answer is that when they do reinject that game mode, it won't be like before and we can get used to it as if it never existed.

Yeah. And then we'll be able to bring all old good maps back. Who plays Caustic Valley today? Nobody. And back then it was relatively good map. Who plays River City today? Forest Colony? All this maps were good and popular back then.

Not sure what to think of this.

I disliked escort too, but it is not that this game has to much content that you should just remove without even trying to fix it.

Give the defenders the VIP`s waypoints, so they know where he is going. That would have helped this mode a lot, but instead of investing a little work, they rather erase it.

It's all about dumbing down the game for DPS brawler builds. World of Warships is the same way with Battleships. They will rant and vote down things they don't like because they don't want to take the time to understand them.

They're dumbing down the game seriously.

Mid-range laser vomit is not brawling...there are hardly any brawl builds around.

It's not like Escort was any different. It was just Skirmish, but with poorly placed sensor nodes and a potato VIP who forced fights in weird locations and who's path finding would glitch out if you touched it in the wrong way.

Effing finally it was about time. Oh boy.
I would take Incursion ANY time over Escort.
It's strategy focused gameplay is much more appealing than escorting an A.I driven suicide machine.
Goodbye Escort, hopefully they rework you into a more appealing form, or come up with a more interesting gamemode
