Pug drops are "in a bad state" because of how other people do things wrong.

The solution is for everyone to follow the advice the OP gives on how to play the game. (that is what is in the wall of text)

(Presumably being rank 24493 with a 0.88 WL doesn't factor into the validity of this advice, and I'm probably a stat shaming elitist or something for mentioning it)

Something that might help is not running mechs that move below 45kph. You can't always expect lights to stick with the rest of the team, because some are spotters or capping. From your post, it sounds like you run assaults a good bit, and you're being left behind.
Crimany, these days if you're doing less than 70kph you're probably going to be left behind.

Cause legit, I did not read that waffle. It's akin to another users 'word soup' where said user bamboolzes most users with just a wall of text without actually making any point, proving any fact and then posts a video from 2012 or something.

I think if there were more incentive to winning by meeting the primary mission goals, you would see more mission oriented players. As it is, I find with rare exception, I am one of the few actually trying to cap during conquest or assault missions. Same goes for incursion.

Capping for conquest I get. I hope you're not one of those guys though that races towards the base in assaults and incursions and just annoys the enemy and then dies after 2 or 3 players hunt you down. And because you moved into the base too fast, you barely split the enemy force so your side was just down a mech for nothing. Or if you went to the base alone, but waited, you weren't contributing to firing at the enemy or spotting for tour team because you were too busy hiding and biding your time.

For a bunch of people who are supposedly good whether by tier, stats , self proclamation and a guy I thought who had Russ's ear.
You are setting a terrible precedent.
All I hear is just a smear campaign of the regular guy, casual or whatever. (Paying customers).
People like you are just not gonna have my ear. Keep up the trashing.
Continue the vitriol. The shaming. The teasing.
1 of 10,000 is something.
1 of 5? Have fun with server shut down.
You're not leaders. Not heroes. Not something to aspire to.
Soon the only people you'll have to talk smack to is yourselves.

As a New Year's resolution, I am going to get on comms (I usually don't) in QP and at least try to call targets for focus fire. That's it. No elaborate strats or anything like that. Just simple "Everyone focus Indigo".

Whenever someone does this, it seems to work pretty well. So in the absence of someone else doing it, I'm gonna try it and see how it goes.

Just be careful and don't go the route of some players who think: THE MOST IMPORTANT MECH TO FOCUS IS THE ON SHOOTING AT ME RIGHT THIS MOMENT!!!

I hate those people because typically they're off to the side and start yelling "Focus Charlie, FOCUS CHARLIE, WHY AREN'T YOU FOCUSING CHARLIE!?!?!?!", completely ignoring the fact that the rest of his team is engaged in a massive furball with EVERY OTHER enemy 'mech...

The targets that should be focused are the ones that the majority of your team can actually get a shot on.

Nope. Run lights. One of which is a Sdr5v with 100% cap accelerator. When I run heavies and assaults I stick with heavies and assaults and hope the lights are capping. Then when I get frustrated, I hop back into my lights.....and the rotation continues. I run towards the base in incursion when I am running my stealthed asn, fle or pb.

Nice response. That makes a little more sense.

I run mediums most of the time, so I can usually keep up with some of the slower lights. I try to cap in conquest, if it makes sense to for how the mission is going, or at least provide support for the cappers so they don't get trashed right away. Unless I am running with 4 other guys, I will never go cap a base during an assault or incursion. But every now and then you get that guy who thinks he is helping the team out by being all sneaky and everything and usually just ends up dying. Or worse, two players stagger themselves out and cap the base, one dies. Then a minute later the other dies, you're now down 2 mechs and they've had enough time to regroup and barrel down on you with 12 mostly untouched mechs.

To address this thread in a more succinct way....everyone stick with your team. So many games a light or two runs over to the enemy team and gets gibbed, pretty much guaranteeing your team a loss because lights are so incredibly valuable in the late game.

Stick with the team, if they Nascar, so do you. Anything else is just throwing your mech away.

Ash is right though. I typically ignore people like you and OP when told "you gotta do it this way to win". Nothing you or OP say matters one bit to me, because you cannot even carry yourself. When you talk, all I hear are selfish calls and BS.

Well, I think herein the misconception lies!

If on Incursion or Assault you have one or two capping or destroying the base, you draw at least three to four enemies away from the front line. This numerical advantage your team could use to push.....but, as often the case, the team stays static, continues trading, letting those two get wrecked, wait for the enemy to regroup amd then get rolled.

I can't count how often I have told the team to push because I had more than a lance of enemies on my behind luring them away from the front line. After the inevitable death after 3-4 min I find out that my team hasn't moved an iota.

oddly I find that most often its the Tier 1 players that are the least helpful in QP. hear me out for a moment.

those who I like to call Meta Cry Babies tend to very rarely give anything constructive other than "Brawl mechs are the only mechs to play" (god forbid you have a tier 1 player on your team and someone brings an LRM Catapult because all that Cry Baby will do is ***** about how that LRM mech lost the match (even when that LRM mech did the majority of the damage for the team)). now its often these players who make your Tier 5 pugs just say "**** it i'll just **** off". sometimes you get a good shot caller or a team that listens. but mostly your Tier 1s are either silent or just unhelpful.

the OP does have some good points and its not that hard to just get on coms and give some advice. just be calm about it and don't act like your build is the only way to play. i'm a tier 3 player at best, I play to have fun so almost none of my mechs are 'Meta'. I think that's what to many people forget. its a game its about having fun. instead of shaming a player for a non meta build perhaps give them advice on how to use what they have (this is something you can easily do after getting killed yourself and watching the other players). just be constructive.

the two biggest bits of advice I could give is 1 watch your map, and 2 stick together. as an honorable mention, if a tactic isn't working switch it up, if your Nascaring and your assaults are calling for help reverse and slam the enemy in face or the flank.

I could go on with a bunch of little things but the OP pretty much said it all.

Hammer is absolutely correct though. Ash, through laziness or ego, admits he didn't even read the OP, others have criticized not what the Op says, but his stats (that includes you too). The level of arrogance in this thread is astounding
