What is a good place to start in the novels for someone who has never read them?

I should say i all ways loved robots(yes i know there not really robots) even before i knew MW.
One day when i was 3(yes i was 3) years old i walked in to the computer room to play some stupid learning game about math or something i saw my dad playing MW3, ididnt even know what it was but i watched him pilot a Daishi then as he was playing he got shot down and i remember yelling "get back up and shoot!" but then he said he died..........then the best thing happend.............he asked me if i wanted to try....................i then played every day when my mom told me to go play my stupid learning game i would play MW3 and i proceded to beat the entire campaign and all the instant action modes by the time i was 5, then MW4 came out....
I dont know alot about the lore cuz i was so young.
MW has been my oldest series that i will love forever and im so happy that there finally making a new game : )
Heck even my xbox live name is Mechwarrior OO7 {OO7 being another favorite series}

I have played most, if not all of the MW PC games. I remember playing on my 286 machine the original game. I loved sitting in my Battlemaster using the PPC to headcap mechs from long range, or to take a leg off with my 6 medium lasers.

Then late in 2007 I went to my Friendly Local Game Store to meet the people who held a monthly BattleTech game there, and, well, that's where the romance truly began.

Time whent on and one day he was able to play that game. And when mechassault 2 lone wolf came out he also bout and played it. But he longed to play more of this amazing game. So he searched and finally he fond it, a copy of mechwarrior 4 needs. Then he found friends that played the table top game. He love the bored game more. And ever sense he has been a battletech fan ever sense.

I played MCG online a lot, first on Mplayer and then on Zone (and a little on Gamespy before they bought out Mplayer and shut it down) but didn't care as much for MC2. I played MW3 a little but didn't really have a computer that ran it at the time.
MWO will essentially be my first MechWarrior game, and based on the role warfare and whatnot I'm pretty pumped for it. I hope it can deliver in both the tactical and skill based elements that have been talked about thus far. Definitely excited for summer and as more information becomes available.

Followed the game up until the Clans where introduced and, at the time, couldn't afford to catch up. Got back into it later though but still prefer the Pre-clan stuff. Good days.
