How are folks preordering, I am one of what appears to be several who gets an error when trying to log in using our MWO information.

If I have to create a new account for Mercenaries 5, how will they know I am a MWO founder???

Hello, I have a couple of questions / concerns.....

Is steam the only way to run this game ? I really dislike having to have the steam client running in order to play what is essentially a single player game with a coop option. (not a fan of steam anyway) I can fully comprehend using steam for the coop function, but not any other time.

Will this be made available through GOG ? (for coop functionality) I much prefer GOG, as one does not have to run the GOG Galaxy client to play a game and does not even have to be online in order to play a game (No Mans Sky comes to mind).

This preorder is very tempting, however I am concerned by having to be "married" to steam in order to play a game I have purchased.

You don't have to have Steam running to launch games installed through Steam.

It was politely pointed out that MW5M ultimate also gave the $70 Marauder II Ultimate Edition Pre-order.
I still see Xsolla exchange rates as steep but I would've gotten the Mar2 pack anyways.

Yes you do, try it and see if I am wrong. just make sure the steam client is not running as it does like to boot with the PC. (task manager). I had this discussion with a friend a few months ago, and he was of the same opinion as you, but found out otherwise. It's the main reason I prefer to not use steam.

I closed Steam and launched MWO from the executable in the install directory successfully, BEFORE replying to you with that information. I have done so in the past as well but I made sure to verify first. I have done the same for other Steam-installed programs as well.

You will need to have Steam running for the updates, of course.

Now, that thing looks gorgeous. Little disappointed by it being another assault as we now basically had five assaults in a row (Hatamoto-Chi, Charger, Warhammer IIC, Corsair, Marauder II).

As for the MW5 preorder I had a hunch of it coming up soon. Consindering all the content delivered the price is pretty decent.

Just to verify tho… as a founder I get 60,000 MC if I preorder the ultimate edition? Also you get 90 days premium time PLUS 60 days for the ultimate MAD2 preorder? I mean I still have plenty banked, but... The GXP is nice... again, not that I had like 400k lying around anyway (yeh… I'm a hoarder) but I do like the C-Bills as I'm usually on the brink of bankruptcy.

The logo on the website changed from beta logo, to normal logo. Nothing else happened, no sale, no event, no video, no challenge, NOTHING.

But more details on MWO mercenaries will be useful. How many missions? Access to a Clan Tech? Solaris Side Campaign? Max size of “Company” - 12?

Also, if I buy the privateer package, do I qualify for Inner Sphere Loyalty Reward in Nov?
