The story actually sounds like a rehash of the original Mechwarrior game.

While the value for money of the pre-order packages is really good I'm totally unhyped by PGIs treatment of MWO.

After 17 years waiting, MW5:Mercs HAVE to have something physical stuff to bring for all the Battletech/Mechwarrior fans out there...

Make this game special! Create something all we nerds can grab and put into our holy Battletech Universe Shrines.

Even a damn cloth map of the inner sphere would to, i still have an empty place on my walls!

I have two simple question. Since I do not use steam since it screws up my PC, how the hell do I get early access and the "keys" when I refuse to use steam? I am more than willing to purchase a early access for MW 5 particularly because I have been playing MW since Crescent Hawks inception back in the 80's. Yea I am that old. Can y'all do a PC access through MWO interface please? Moderators please answer this for me other wise I will be not be able to purchase the early access pass I am sure there are other elite founders such as myself that severely dislike steam because steam is a big steaming pile-o-crap.

Any answer on this? I was surprised too when I went to enter my MWO credentials and it came up with an error.

I am having the same issue. Multiple credit cards. Multiple browsers. Multiple computers. PGI support says its an Xsolla problem. Xsolla support just gives me a bot answer about validating my CC which I have done dozens of times.

I even bought MC on regular MWO site but using the same CC on the new MW5 site I get an error. Wow.

I buy stuff online all the time. Pretty frustrating and you'd think PGI would want to clear ANY obstacles to selling things.

Although i prefer phisical ... now that i think about it!!! i would rather have them release a phisical copy when all the bugs have been fixed an patches aplied.

My first reaction was WOW what a great deal. Then i realized all the MWO rewards are pretty pointless at this stage in the game. Once i put that in perspective i just thought of a single player game without a mechlab and where you shoot escort atla's... that's a no from me dawg.

You create a new account and get a key to redeem on the MWO site. So you are not really connecting the two games.

Anyone know if they said that PvP will come to MW5 later on?

Fact is I'm more looking for an enhanced MWO with better visuals and physics. I know it's not MWO ported to Unreal engine but I guess you know what I mean, I hope at one point that MW5 will let us play 8vs8 solo or in group or whatever.

I would have liked to see some more added value on the MW5 side. For the people that dont play MWO any longer or like me only logging in now and then to quiet my abstinence, there is basically not much added value/reason to get anything other than a standard edition.

How does an innocuous client like Steam cause issues for your computer? All it does is launch games.

If you won't use Steam, you probably won't be playing MW5.
