It's to attract those that quit years ago, and give them an easy start back into MWO. As to owning everything, do you have 500+ mechs?

Agreed. As someone said before, I would qualify as 'the lapsed' since my last purchase was the Javelin. I dig the old timey mechs. So that does appeal to me, just minus the fact that posting on the forums is probably all I have time to do these days anyways.

Pass. I'm space rich in mwo. Pgi nerfs the hell out of light weight mech class. I've got almost every IS light mech I have an intrest in. I'm not going to buy mw5;certainty at full retail. i'm waiting for the youtube video reviews and to see how much mod support* it has. No doubt light mechs are just cannon folder in mw5. I haven't seen any jenners in game play footage yet but I have seen the cat k2 and a locust which is good as I like those two mechs.

*if any given pgi's love of marketing bs and hype. whist maintain-ing the minimal viable max profit route mwo has been on for years.

That's kind of why I find it odd that only founders get a bonus on top of the pre-order bonus. There are a lot players that might have spent plenty in the game after founders ended but have now left. The regular bonus is good on its own but it just seems odd to me that a customer spending $30-$120 over 6 years ago is being enticed more than somebody that might have spent hundreds or thousands 1-6 years ago.

So basically if a player wants the new marauder II mechpack you are getting MW5 bundled in for an extra $29.95.
Plus...If players can find a use for the MC and the premium time it’s a pretty compelling deal when compared to the MC sales. According to standard (or even sale) MWO pricing you are getting MW5 for less than free...technically anyway.

Of course this shows how little real value there is in MC at this point in the games lifecycle (but we all knew that from how much they have been giving away of late)...still all things considered it’s a good value if you play MWO and are a likely buyer of MW5. A great value if you need that MC.

I was going to get MW5 anyway. Wasn't going to pre-order Marauder II. But as part of the pre-order and extra MWO content. Well that certainly sweetens the deal. Still other priorities at the moment. And not a fan of pre-ordering things, though in this case their are real incentives.

I'm surprised by how benign the actual MW5 preorder rewards are. I expected something absolutely stupid, like bonus mechs or a special mode. But pretty much the biggest thing is 'Beta' access.

Wont be preordering though, of course. Gonna want till those reviews come out.

Ya . The pre-order bonus is too heavy on the mwo side and too light on the mw5 side.

Okay, I pre-ordered the standard edition.
I usually don't pre-order (and don't even play MWO that much anymore). But, I have (for me) one good reason to do it anyway.

This is a thank you to PGI for freeing BattleTech from HG. BattleTech is a franchise I do like and had some great times playing the boardgame, playing all the Video Games (Crescent Hawks ones even) and reading all the books.
HG has been quite a thorn for far too long.

Lame, I can't even stomach playing MWO anymore due to its poor performance and being so used to playing at 100+ fps on any new title that has come out in the past 6 months.

Anything south of 80-90fps irritates me, and this game is so bad it dips down into the 30s even with all the graphics on low.
Otherwise, financially, the base pre-order is a good pickup. You get a game, and a bunch of mc/cbills to buy whatever mechs you dont' care to grind for.

Me though...I have all the mechs I want, and have like 130million cbills sitting there doing nothing. So all these new chassis that come out, I could just buy them with cbills.

In the end I'll be worth it to preorder just to get the MWO perks, god knows I'll buy the game full price anyway when it comes out(nearly a freaking year from now)...

The deal is very good for the value, assuming MWO is gonna survive for more than a year. Especially since I'm a Founder. I am personally heavily against pre-orders, though I must say again that the bonuses are great if you play MWO.

MC at this point of the game's life is meaningless. I have everything. MC is only a means to an end. They dragged their asses so long in MWO that I completed the end goal of pokemech. I reached the end of content, something you never want in a F2P game.

What makes MC so valuable when they give many thousands of it away annually now?

I guess this is for the lazy or the lapsed.

A lot of people need multiple Hero mechs per many chassis for FP. ;)

No.

Im a MWO Founder and have bought every MW game since MW3 as a preorder. Im not doing this for MW:5 Mercs because its developed by a disingenuous company who will not stick by their word with even the smallest promise.

Oh man haha, they must have really done a number on ya.
I'm simply getting it because its the first title to be released since 2001(Less the HBS battletech game)
Those being MW4: Vengeance and Mechcommander 2...

Thats damn near 2 decades ago we've been waiting for a new Single Player Campaign.

The base pack seems like a good deal if you play MWO at all. Call me an optimist, but I fully expect this game to be delivered.

Preordered.

I'd be more interested if I needed the cash, but I'm already stocked from previous sales. Maybe if I find a way to burn 14,000 MC and find myself still wanting, I'll plop down the pre-order -- and that's assuming MW5 looks like a good game.

Does that include a ton of Hero mechs? And cosmetic stuff and warhorns? I know some spend a lot on those.
