please remove "hit and run" requirements from this and all future events.

It appearently requires the enemy mech to hit R on you.
As well all know, noone ever does that, especially not in quick play.
The actual challenge is to find that one guy in 10 matches who actually hits R (because sausage fingers) and coincidentially locks you.
It's absolute madness :S

add:

Okay found the answer..
1. putting my brain in jaw
2. find a mech i can outdamage 2 to 1
3. run up to said mech right into his face
4. trade until i die
5. spent the rest of the time chatting how i let my team down

if enemy pressed r -> 1 hit and run earned
if not -> repeat 1.

It does not require the enemy to lock onto you. See an enemy, shoot it for 10+ damage, don't get hit, run away and wait for "hit and run" to pop up on the screen, repeat.
I get my hit and runs with Locust, 5 medium lasers. I just run around until seeing an enemy or aproach from flank, alpha once from optimal range or less than optimal, and run away. Enemy gets hit, never R-ed me, never even EyeballMk1-ed me. Hide and Wait, get rewarded hit and run, do again.

It's definitely not working then. Spent 4 games shooting stuff dual ppcs, without getting shoot at. no hit and run earned.

dual ac20 to the chest, waited 30 seconds... nothing earned.

There's gotta be some kind of condition i do not meet, do i need to flank or something first?

I believe - although am not 100% certain about it - that you have to deal said damage while the enemy has sensor contact on you (doesn't matter if they locked you or not) and break that sensor contact for the reward to trigger.

You only get 1 bonus content item per purchase. Which you get is based on when you purchase and/or redeem.

You only get the Bonus COntent associated with the MC amount you purchased. Not the ones below or above that level.

Its not true, and your posts (Cypherdrene) proves that some players prefer to play when theres no events.
There's also the cra-cra crowd (like me) that play daily, event or otherwise.
Yes the player numbers will drop a bit after an event, but thats the same in any video game with events.

So much complaining. World would be a better place, if you just said thank you and moved on. My 2 year old has more manners then some of the people in here.

So ill say it, thank you PGI. I was looking forward to doing an event on the weekend. Free stuff or not I like events. The add motivation is very helpful.

I'm not sure if you understood what I meant... of if it was me who didn't get you. But alas, the problem with MWO in general is lack of teamplay, events bring the worst in the playerbase. Hence I point out at PGI's balance and business model, since it's the other half of the problem.

Team play is a learned skill thats been an issue since day 1.
Early on there was several players who made simple online tutorials on how to not nascar, how to communicate, don't go leeroy jenkins on team, ect. and haven't see any of those guides referenced to newbie posts in about 2 years now. Last night a bunch of team matches and only 2 had teams communicating, some we'd say hello and try to guide but all for nothing and no doubt some of them have every chat and voip disabled in game knowing block list is a joke. And too many people just leeroy jenkins into red team, left the assaults way back (nascar'd) then back seat drive the rest of team and complain, harumph and naysay everything the active player had done 2 minutes back but not helping the player in the current situation ie Charlie legs cherry, etc.

Yeah so to answer your question directly, I couldn't be bothered to keep track of all complaints I just picked what appeared to be the last one about a lack of players when there's no events.
Hard to get new players interested when all there is on the forums is pretty minor complaints comparatively speaking.
And if you want good complaints start with the match maker in solo or team play, or how everyone on the fake "block list" is unmuted upon rejoining match and same when relogging into game to avoid players disabling every chat and VOIP!!!

If PGI fixed "block list" to keep muted then PGI's support load would be less and probably have a better chance at keeping new players.
