I tried with the smooth slider but still when you zoom it it wiggles like Spongebob having a panic attack

2200 DPI but this is what I use when I am not in zoom mode. most shooter game if they zoom they automatically adjust the zoom sensitivity as if the whole zoom area is the viewable area so it has the same smoothness as the one not in zoom

That's still really fast, how do you hold laser burns on target with that? I would just leave the smooth at zero, and drop the mouse sensitivity. You could try....1200 dpi and 0.55 in game (should theoretically give you same feel as right now, but might make your zoom less jumpy). I personally use 800 dpi and 0.17, I think the most common for comp players in this game is 800 dpi and 0.2 in game.
Other option is to just use your sensitivity adjuster on your g502 everytime you zoom, take away all other dpi levels until you have just your default, and a slow one.

that is not a solution. the best mice on the market don't have those buttons.
zoom_sensitivity_ratio has been a thing for more than 15 years. but PGI strikes again.

Hey don't laugh, I understand the sensitivity part of it ;p

Be careful about asking this question or suggesting for a separate zoomedin slider in settings, last time I asked that I was bombarded with a flood of insults and hate.

zowie doesnt, tho
still not a solution to change dpi setting everytime you want to zoom
His G502 has that exact feature of changing dpi on the fly with one push of a button conveniently set up near his thumb (if he decides to go that route)

zoom in - press extra button
zoom out - press extra button
1265 times per match?
half-life 1 had a console setting for exactly what is asked here.
THIS WAS ALMOST 20 YEARS AGO
your solution only ever works for mice that come with software and/or on-the-fly where can you set the dpi to half of what you normally have
targetting computers would mess this up a lil bit

My solution was to just use a lower sensitivity, but I listed several options. The vast majority of players dont seem to have an issue with zoom in this game

*Two buttons, DPI up and DPI down, left side of MB1.
Ofc he can bind anything he wants to any button he wants
edit. yes there is that DPI change button also but for my hand at least it's too far away to push without changing grip from the mouse.

or just cut the sensitivity to 1/3 which would yield the exact same result without messing up windows sens and sens in other games
eDPI * 0.5 * 2/3 = eDPI * 1/3
effectiveDPI = DPI * Sensitivity

Turn that dpi down. Turn off smoothing. Lower sensitivity to .2 and work from there. If you find that the cursor is too jumpy or shakes a bit you can adjust the polling rate.
Go into training grounds (I like river city best) with your favorite laser boat, faster the better. Now practice passing one of the targets while trying to hold the burn on a specific hitbox.
If you can't hold a burn on a side torso while moving you need to adjust your settings.
What you are asking for is irrelevant. Get your mouse settings down and everything will make sense.
Edit; super important. Once you find settings you can work around try not to change them again. It's important for developing muscle memory. Evaluate how you grip the mouse, there are a few different styles of grip you can look up on Google. For example, I use "claw grip."
