This is an example of the fluff writers knowing absolutely nothing about TT's game mechanics. The original Warhammer comes with 320 stock armor, and the Whalehammer IIC comes with 460 stock armor.

How is 10 tonnes bigger only get you 64 armor... really?!

Yup, max armor for for a 10 ton lighter mech (60 ton dragon) is 32 armor difference compared to the 70 ton warhammer.
