Just cause it has been superceded by the MCII, doesn't mean it is not deadly. It needs pilots who know how to position well.
Most players lack the skill and patience to pilot a 48 kph giant.
ultraviolet is still my #1 ranged assault in terms of damage/match.

Less of an allergic reaction and more of a "would it sell well?" issue for me.
PGI is gonna have to do some pre-sale hyping that includes promising of hefty quirk bonuses.
Shouldn't even bother making it if the sales forecast is miserably low.

I have no doubt it will sell well.
Also foe quirks that's up to them to not be scared of quirking a clan mech, especially a assaults. And that stems from four assault mechs that dominated the meta when released. Because of those mechs pgi will still be scare of touch clan assaults or giving any of them reasonable quirks or stats.
But back on the Turkina I doubt it need quirks to make it function unlike a certian 80 tonner gimped the moment it stats were announced.

The Hellstar and Cygnus are obvious choices and uses current tech we have in game so it wouldn't be hard adding them, just the Cygnus need one or two variants made up for it's out of timeline weapons we don't have. And the Hellstar is just a PPC Warhawk that's not restricted by omni rules.

no. its really not needed. it adds absolutely nothing new or interesting to the game.
Id much rather PGI added the Naga and Catapult-3 (and maybe eventually the Thunder Hawk) with hardwired ARROWIV. then we could have actual artillery support mechs and get rid of the toxic consumable strikes.
PGI should focus on adding new mechs that actually bring new content with them. Turkina doesnt do that. Its just another garbage mech to add to the huge flaming garbage pile of mechs we already have.
If PGI added new mechs that brought new things to the game with them they might actually be able to sell mechpacks instead of mechpacks being a complete joke. constantly releasing similar or worse mechs than mechs that already exist is not helping this game one bit. the game needs new content not just samey or worse variations of the same thing.
the only thing that might make me buy a Turkina is if they released it alongside new content like HAGs, iATMs, Harjel, etc... And if the Turkina got a bunch of HAG quirks to separate it from the other assaults. but if its just going to be a worse daishi whats the point?

Any options here? I think the Turkina is probably the most well known, and I would love to see the CJF assault on the game. What else is there, that would be a likely addition?

Is the Jupiter qualified in the time line? Its really a 100 tonner, that's only 5 tons more.
It looks like it would make a great LRMer.
