Coudn't find a game in the group queue for 2 hours straight. RIP.

More like no one really plays in groups. QP on the other hand the que goes pretty fast.

No, but not for lack of trying. Heat spike a couple months ago and LRMageddon coming up in the next patch. PGI is actively working to kill the game.

Premade queue has always had long wait times. If you want faster games you'll just have to embrace the chaotic entropy of Pug Life™.

Only time you can get group queue games nowadays is NA primetime. Start somewhere around 6pm EST and ends like midnight EST.

How to know when mwo is dead:
1. Can you log into the client?
2. Can you log in and mess with mech lab?
3. Can you log into the mwo website?
4. Has mw5 released yet?

If you can answer "no" to the first three and "yes" to four than yes this game is dead. So happy you kept an offline back up of the game data for personal use.

Again? Still? There´s a Thread in the German Forums opened back in 2013 that said 2013 Mwo is dead. Hm so MWO is stil alive,carried by us true Hardcore fans but yea, sadly many many CB veterans and BT Fans leaved over time and due wrong decisions of the Game makers regarding game "content" and what would hold players for longer time motivations.
As example S7. Many said in forecast, this will not be long interesting and that hapened.
Instead of makin Faction play to what they promised back in CB and how it could be.. Seems they are not interested hold long time players here and bring new players to mwo. In short: a lot of wrong decisions from the man who knows what Mech game we really dream bout^^.....But me and many othes from the ral loyal German Community wuill stay here till one day really the lights go out.
on a side note. lol back in 2014 i almost died first and not mwo after a subneural bleeding..Was damn close but i never never expected the game could live longer then me.. ^^
Now ia m since that a handycapped player with easily paralyzed whole left Bodyhalf and still here and still love the game.
It´s now for me a lot harder then as i started back in cB But its now a challenge to stand against "healthy players and i think i found my way back more then good but neede a whole year 2015 to get comfort again with the Mech piloting over WASD.
So lets see what the future will bring with mw5 but i dont believe, it will be a alternative to MWO.Human aginst human is still a greater challenge then playing 100times trough MW5 against KI Enemys.
Same thing as mw4, you play it 50 times, every time withanother Mechand one day it will get boring.

Its slowly dying. They should combine group and single play like in the beta time at start. Sthis split of single, group, faction and solaris with this amount of player is really not the best choise.

So you want to kill it quicker.
In case you don't know all the dieing game modes are due to skill gap in large part IMO
Over time

Face it, the population is a bell curve the bottom likes to win too
Nothing a slightly better working match maker (remove upward bias) couldn't fix, especially for quick play.

Group/Faction MM is much more complicated and beyond the reach of a minimal effort fix

But QP fix could be much simpler, make PSR conditions for wins same as they are currently for losses.

You may say, but a player determines wins too, and I say u are right.
But I say the team has a even bigger impact and thus wins are more of a team metric than a personal one in this case as we are trying to determine personal skill.

Thus make PSR conditions for wins same as they are currently for losses.
Removes the I get carried alot element.

How much is the rate between single- and groupplayers?
Is it a good idea to cater to 10% of the playerbase but expel the majority?

The small minority still playing fp is not enough to support it, but with groups most singleplayers wont touch it,
It would help mwo a lot if they would let the small mirority of groups out of most queues (let them have their groupqueue) and make fp pug only. This would give the majority, playing only pug-matches, a lot more new content and fight the bordomness of qp.

Or does anyone still think that fp would recover in its current form or any dev would throw more money on a dead mode in a starving game?
