I mean a Clan Nightstar doesn't sound so terrible. Nightstar suffers because it's weapons are large and heavy and it has hand actuators.

Well that and the giant vents killing it's frontal profile then having the arms stick out sideways instead of being angled forward... Still the Nightstar isn't as bad as some seem to think but oh well.
Haha but hey I do enjoy the format on the OP Gas. I agree that the Turk could do well given proper builds, etc. As ever the big question is what does PGI do to it? Maybe some KC like hitboxes?

It can wield a lot of firepower through omni swaps which puts it in danger of being a Dire lite. I'd like to have a clan assault with a bit more agility like the KGC to set it apart from the rest of the bricks.
Some huge armor would also be nice on the So8, so at least the clans get another viable tank option instead of endless giga alpha glass cannons.

Kingfisher is a good candidate for tank

Only reasons people would even think of touching it is the 6 missile slots, and maybe lore. May Lord have mercy if it gets lurmed.
Alex better pull off something beyond amazing to make it attractive for potential purchasers.
I don't know, it kind of looks like the Clan version of a King Crab and those are still fairly popular.

It's the hit-boxes moreso than the weapons. Other than the NSR-10P, you can fit decent assault-grade firepower on all of them. Even the 10P can do the seemingly popular quad-RAC/2 + mass DHS.
The Turkey will have a similar hit-box issue to be worked around, but I do enjoy it when I get two 'Mechs that are clearly derived from each other on each side of the tech divide.

Hm I feel like I need to mess around with RACs more, I never use them. Yeah I have been messing around with the Nightstar in general a bit more and maybe I have been a little too hard on it/was expecting too much out of it. It's not that bad. Those sides are just a little soft.

I also think the IIC-orgy is a bit boring and terribly unoriginal. Exploring fresh options like the Turkina could be worth it, especially if it is more agile than the Dire Wolf.
