That's one ugly mech, and broad. Hope it doesn't have Awesome-itis. Nice high hardpoints though.

Right arm hardpoints seem lost for long range weapons though, the torso and left arm ones are nice. Not using the missile hardpoint in the right torso should help with the torso size.

Definitely has the cobbled together look. Ugly, yet still looks cool imo.

I like the way it looks there, but I will forever think of this when I see a corsair

I'll wait to see quirks before I even ponder thinking about possibly getting it.

Any ideas already with which loadout you want to do the holiday mech part of the release event?

Ah, and since I think of it right now:

If you preordered the Ultimate or Collector pack, don't sell your COR-5R non (S) version before you completed the release event. The COR-5R(S) does NOT count for the COR-5R part of it! You'd miss out on about 2M or something like that.

For the Holliday one I'm thinking I'm going to start off with 2 UAC/10s, 3 SRM4s, and then some sort of lasers (still debating between trying to fit 2 LLs or if I'm going to do 3 ERML/MPLs). Though, its tough to say if I'll try a (U)AC/20 + whatever else brawler build as I have no idea where the left torso ballistic would go (unlike all the concept arts showing the RT ballistic slot).

That said; For the 5R I'd most likely swap out the AC/10 for either a RAC/5 or an LB10, then fit the torso missile as some sort of MRM or a LRM10a, and fill all 5 energy mounts with ERML/MPL. The 6R I could 'meme' and do D-HGauss or double (U)AC/20s, but I think what I'm doing first is fit the ballistics both as UAC/5s, fit 3 LRM10s, and have the 3 energy as ERMLs. And for the 7A... Oh I got plans for this one that even I'm not willing to share. I'm using all 4 AMS for sure, that's a given.

Edit; Only now do I realize I bought the Ultimate pack and have everything... Oh dang... Okay... this is fine.
5T: I see no reason to change it. 6 AC/2s seem pretty memetastic to me. Though 6 LB2s or UAC/2s seem 'equally' as fun.
7R: Again, stock looks mostly fine. 2 Missile slots in the CT of an assault is... pretty weird and 2 RL10s is pretty much the only thing for it (unless I want to SRM4 spam, which would definitely work).
Ravager: Pffftttt... idk. 2 Ultra 5s, 3 LPLs, and 3ERML? 2 RAC/5s and 6 MPL? An LB20 and a RAC/2? Okay, that one was a joke, but I've tried something similar and it was hilariously fun so now I just have to try it.

Nice! 4 corsairs coming to my garage! And might be more, but will decide when I test'em, hehe.
Always preorder standard pack to get early adopter bonuses. Other variants can be bought after mech release.

Heh... I was about to ask that question as to where the Mech was pictured as being at, but you already beat me to the punch and answered it for me. Thank You, Matt! :D

I was talking with some friends that I used to play tabletop with, and who were members in this community about the Corsair. SgtMjrCain said that he was surprised that there isn't a frankenmech in each weight class as part of the package, instead of different variants of the same one. I must say, that seriously raised the bar for me.

The pictures with different variants will be interesting. They have to have different arms, as both right and left arms appear as having only the upper arm actuator or all actuators including a hand, so 2 versions of each arm.

There's a reason not to change it. The 5T has upper, lower, and hand actuators in both arms, giving you 8 free crit slots per arm, so you literally cannot fit 3 UAC2s (3 crits per gun) or 3 LBX2s (4 crits per gun) per arm. Some mix and match is possible, I suppose.

Also means the popular 4x UAC/5 build will not fit.

The pictures on the pre-order page were all just lazy recolors. For example, the Ravager has the full arm on the other side according to the info regarding actuators we have, but the picture doesn't bear it out.
