I was asked in a PM to Provide info on whether the MW5 Preorder would count toward any level of 2019 Customer Appreciation Rewards Program.

I don't currently know the Details of the Reward Program BUT IF it did count for something.

It MAYBE something like this.

MAYBE qualifying for the MC Tier
MAYBE Qualifying whatever IS reward tier the Marauder 2 Standard or Collectors tier qualifies you for.

OR MAYBE we lump it into one reward for the MW5 Preorder.

Being Honest I can't promise anything at this point as MW5 ships in Sept and that is usually when we would be designing making Reward Mechs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Okay but what about this month's mech pack? Do we have to wait until after the Catapult window closes? I already pre-ordered so don't care about that

Yes ... I was also too late ... and I'm honest, this sucks! I bought the medium pack, still, this makes me indeed a bit salty.
I mean, my only wrong doing was, that I learned to late about all this (was inactive for years in MWO, until two days ago), still, this feels now, like my money is less worth to PGI, than those of others, only cos they bought it earlier ... and now I've to wait until November, before I get a chance for this mechs (the Standard, but that's fine) ... it honestly sucks!

There was...months...and months... of foreknowledge about the game and so many kept saying "Never do preorders" so, they missed out.

MW5 was the game I always wanted when we ended up getting MWO instead, so I bought it right away.
Between the MC and the at-the-time-half-off-almost-all-mechs sale going on at the time, I bought somewhere close to 30 hero mechs (including a few assault ones but mostly lights to heavies), an additional 20 or so mechbays after getting the mechbays needed for those heroes, a pair of chainsaws (also half off), some mufflers (half off), and still had a bit left to get a pattern.

And of course got the full Marauder II pack (though admittedly, the hitboxes are terrible on this thing and they had some missed opportunities to make this pretty decent one the variants that can pack multiple weapons on the torso.

Then without doing a thing, they threw in four more mechs that I'll see on the 31st of May.. But they had those advertised for nearly a month on the front page...
and people still ignored it...


So I mean they threw in all kinds of stuff to say "Here look at all the **** you get"...
And many still didn't care. You only get so many chances in life to get something; if you missed out, you missed out.

I'm regretfully the same way about the original unseen, there's these awesome models for building which back in the day cost about 30 bucks... Now they're so rare that some are selling for over 200. I missed out.

An afterthought

Even if you just bought the 50 dollar pack from the get go (and I can automatically assume that this game is going to be 60 dollars when it comes out), you'd still have gotten all four of the May 31st mech variants with their 30% cbill bonuses if you had done so early enough. So it wasn't even a question of "120 for a game and some extras", all you needed was 50 bucks to get an insane amount of stuff for MWO... practically giving you all kinds of stuff.

(Personally, I think its because some people really wanted a single player MW, something to let them experience the universe without the issues of multiplayer and monetization, and that as such some people may leave MWO completely to enjoy this universe sandbox. Course some might play it and then try MWO... but overall they're trying to make sure that you still have a reason to come back to MWO. This is my personal belief when I look at what they're offering us on here as the rewards overall for such an early preorder are really...really unprecedented. I mean I'm only a few heroes short of a 100% collection after that and beyond trying to get the loyalty mechs, I really stopped buying stuff in MWO a couple of years ago since I can't afford it and don't really care about MWO due to how it clearly will never reach what this video said they were going to strive for.... But MW5 has reached it. In a recent AMA where it was asked if we'd face a hero, Russ didn't say yes or no, but his uncharacteristic confidence and "you're gonna like this" tone and chuckle suggests that not only will we, but looking back at that video I have a rough idea as to at least which hero we might face...as it'd be the thing that completes that feature list.)

If someone hadn't preordered yet, they're probably not going to. I mean as time wanes the value of extras decreases and already a bunch of stuff is missed out on. If it was simply the scare of "oh I need 120 to get all this stuff..." well hate to break it to you, but about the only useful thing you'd miss out on is having the ultimate pack as opposed to the full pack, and 70 dollars extra MC...not really a big deal; should've just snagged the initial 50 dollar pack.

Yeah, the old Ral Partha unseen Mechs and original Clan Mechs go for tons of money now, too bad I no longer have mine.
