Assault Class

Jarl's is really just a litmus test. If a player is in the top 1%, you can expect them to be pretty good more often than not. You can also expect anybody less than 90% to be pretty mediocre. Beyond that, it's not much use.

So, basically, be goddamn amazing at doing tons of damage and you win Jarl's.
Fair. It's nothing more than a general metric demonstrating where you are compared to others. Sure it's flawed, but it's a hell of a lot better than the current MWO leaderboard.

"Waiting for it to return" makes a negative amount of sense. Not only you're giving up initiative and letting your opponent control the engagement, if the light pilot had any sense he would certainly take a different route for his next attack run and you'd be waiting something that will never happen.

OMG, Wtf? Why does do you guys keep bringing me back here? And I will always will.
It wasn't an assessment. It was more of an embarrassment of a bad play I been in, to others in the forums. "I saw GuardDog in game. Mister PTSD guy." And "Dude you were not with your team mates" You or some may not feel or see it. But I did. How would you feel if I wrote in forums about your bad play to others?
I got many advice, and so others can get it as well. Because I am sure I am not the only one. Some just play, but sometimes it is not to their fair share of what they think MWO should be. They couldn't care about the points, or leaderboards, or other. But some do point it out, how a person plays. And it can be miss leading on the person themselves.
This main thread is suppose to be about the problems of other class pilots to Assaults pilots and not one person. For the past week, been silence on the Battlefield due to the release of the Mad-II. Let it go there, and stay there. Do not bring me back to defend. Because if you do write anymore on me, to me in this thread. You got more of a issue on me. You have basement problems. It is common sense. I will let this thread go to 100+ pages or until it is locked.

Its not the armor its the broken mechanic of lights in general. A light should fear an assault mech but PGI has an affinity with light mechs making them almost impossible to take down. Pen and Paper should be observed more to be realistic in terms of lore. When a urbanmech or any other light mech can face tank an assault its just plain BS. This is why the population has gravitated towards Heavies and you see so few assaults on the field. Other than event times at least.

Not about Assaults. Get to main problem of Assaults class getting blamed for not doing their job when they are. Not about a person.

So you mean like I tried to tell this assault where to go??
Poster had a great example of a terrible Assault pilot. If I had this light pilot behind me, I would agree to his advice. It is called working together. One of the best light pilots I have seen, and it is on video. To bad it ended up in failure, due to the assault pilot. And then their is Assault pilots that do their job, and get blamed. Why are you not here? The other day, the team I was in brought down two assaults that were in front easy. And they were down in less than a Minute. Who are the last survivors? A light. Round lasted 3 minutes. So, really not many have a answer, but like to blame the round on assaults (mostly).

So yeah, don't blame other people when you loose, judge your own performance and ask what you could have done better. But that goes both ways, don't blame assaults for being slow but also don't blame faster mechs for using their speed.
But the we have posts like this and you saying "yup", this is where the topic changes:

Because it simply isn't true. We know that assaults are much stronger than lights. We know that lights cannot facetank assaults if the assault pilot can aim.
It's fake news. There is data on performance per weight class and assaults are objectively the best performing class in the game. And that data includes all active players so it's not even that only good players do best in assaults, most people do.
If you don't want the topic derailed, then don't derail it by making that kind of evidently false claims.
Those false claims is why you keep getting "git gud" type answers, it is because generally speaking only really bad pilots are under the misapprehension that lights are strong and assaults are weak when the opposite is true.

You see some light get 6 kills and do 1200 damage? Ohhh lights OP.
You see some assault do that? Ok, that's normal.
Conversely:
You see a light get bounced and do double digit damage? Lol business as usual
You see an assault get rekt and do double digit damage? Dude... play a different mech.
Frankly we see a lot of the former. There are a lot of assault pilots who regularly do not pull their own weight. Turns out there are also some skilled light pilots who know how to take advantage of that.
