Saturday night was the only time I managed to get a match all week; we had one invasion match, then I assume things went wonky as no matches would launch after that despite having 15/12 in queue. Likewise earlier in the week I sat through three phases with no matches launching even though we had more than enough people. As an aside, curious as to when testing rewards will be announced.

It actually happened on Sunday. The results were thus.

1 12v12 Assault match played. Would not launch due to bug.
Phase change
1 Scout match played. Wouldn't launch any more despite enough players for 3 or 4 concurrent matches, due to bug.

Last I heard from Paul (Bare in mind it was late Saturday for him) was the PTS would come down and we would try again next weekend after the engineers had looked into it. It would appear to be a server problem deciding whether more games should be played, not an issue with sever capacity as apparently the server should be able to handle 64 concurrent matches.

For anyone that's interested it would probably be a waste of your time until we hear more from Paul on the issue.

Career Selection is especially clunky in PTS. Quite a few ways to stop it moving forwards or getting stuck with it open. It isn't a complete GUI even within the context of the weird 1990's GUI conventions within MWO.

I hope the devs realise the basic interface changes need a lot more polish before they can go live, let alone any of the difficult stuff involving matchmaking.

Interestingly the countdown timer now seems to be 1 minute instead of 8 seconds but I haven't knowingly patched the client. Countdowns are driven by the server to ensure sync, I take it? Was it a mixup with date datatypes?

Make sure no new events are created on live for next weekend if we are going to try PTS again.

In the countdown timer, the 'other competitors in queue' numbers seem to get out of sync with the faction panel in the background on the right. For example, I've see the countdown say "2/0" when the faction panel says "2/1" as if the opposing competitor was miscounted as being on my own side. I was dropping as Steiner, if the devs only test Marik perhaps there's another mixup with which way around these two numbers should be presented? The same faction on the same side or the 'home team' the player is on first and the 'away team' after.

So many details to iron out before this is anywhere near ready for live. Stuff that should already have been figured out at the design stage, never should reach even PTS in such an ill-conceived and glitchy state.

most figured there was a bug with the match maker launching a match earlier in the week.

if there was a match, the War Log did not show there was one, so either the warlog is broke, or that one match never happened., one or the other

The "Days Left" Event shouldn't had much impact, for many that was just a one match a day, or just last day a few matches to complete.

At that time, sadly no (I was waiting with Paul and vonJerg).

Within Ash's stream, there was a one sucess run.

Then, today around 1 PM CEST, it was plain 0/0.

All the expectations and emotions aside: I think we have not enough players online to perform that many test runs.

Not sure if that was the PTS reward and there's nothing else I can think of I've done to earn it.
