I THINK that's Old Norse for "Great", in this context.

Swedish would be "Stor". Adding it as an adjective would make it "Stora", so maybe "Storra Skjaldborg"? Whatever it is, we really should get the name translated in to runes...

If that the unit name change, I may have ta change my mechwarrior name to Tony the Tiger...

I understood some parts of that even before i read the meaning of it under. I learned about these types of rune when i was in ( i think it was) middle school

No, not quite. There's four companies per battalion, and the fourth of each is pretty empty.
