TLDR - Don't expect Punk Nuker 3k ™ logos at boot, but also don't be confident that there isn't anything happening to catch you being naughty.
Its PGI, so you gotta take it with a
grain wagon container ship fleet of salt. I.e., there is indeed nothing. Like at all. Because if there was even an itty bitty tiny smth, they'd advertise it like the humanitys biggest achievement since wheel.
In any case ... on the subject of cheating, I'd say the same thing I've said times and times again. In this game for all intents and purposes cheating doesn't exsist.
Up until this year I've played regularly and for all my times since closed beta, thats like 7 years of MWO, I've personally witnessed exactly one sure case of cheating in-game. Guy was banned 2-3 days later. Footage, sure, I've seen maybe half a dozen more sure case cheaters, including some of the supposedly top tier comp players. All in all thats like a dozen people at most over the course of 7 years, which needless to say is infinitely insignificant. Even with the addition of the "great PGI cheater purge" that caught like ... 40? players, half of which were alts, its still infinitely insignificant.
So, when somebody "hackuzates" you can say with 99.999% certainty, that he is nothing but a butthurt baddie. Because if he wasn't, he'd given us all proof to see, like others who had a valid claim did before. And that brings me to the other thing I wanted to say ...
Because if we started talking about keeping the community intact, then the behavior displayed here but both "sides" of the discussion is quite counter-productive.
If I were you, I would flat out shut the clueless hackuzator up if he starts yapping without proof, until he provides said proof, especially so if he is a member of my unit. In fact if he continues doing so, I would simply kick him out of the unit, because his toxic behavior tarnishes the reputation of the entire unit. And if he happens to be a high rank unit officer, and nobody else among unit leadership have an issue with him, then I'd seriously consider quitting such a unit.
On the other hand, I also condemn any sort of similarly toxic assaults on entire units based on the actions of one member, along the lines of calling names and bashing someones builds due to the lack of any kind of an actually meaningful argument. When a guy comes to the forum to post his supposedly bad builds in order to advertise them to everyone - bash him all you want, I'd be the first to join you. But what builds everyone uses in-game for themselves is quite frankly none of your concern. Turning a discussion from the subject of cheating to "I understand mech builds better than you are thus all your arguments are invalid" isn't any better than clueless hackuzations in terms of toxicity.
That said, don't mind me, I'm mostly preaching to the dead here anyway. Please go back to whatever you've been doing here prior. Unlike the game itself at least this place is sometimes somewhat entertaining.
