appreciated Black caiman, but that is a bit exagerated. I think i am a good player, but not a fantastic one, the fantastic ones are in division A of MRBC and will soon be in finals of the world cup .

And no, i dont do that routinely, i have often good games, but this one is surely my best clutch ever in my flea 20 until now.

That's the point my dude, some people lack situational awareness hence you can get away with freefarm sometimes.
Regarding "tHiS iS a TiEr 1 gAme", not like i want to stat shame but.. let's just say a certain bloodasp pilot in that game rocks a solid 28% on jarl's list, on top of struggling this years seasons to keep the % over 20.

Oh also i would like to say in this topic, that, trying to clutch a game facing multiples ennemies requires lot of focus.

So please, guys clear coms if you have nothing usefull to say.

And what is usefull is pretty a pretty short list.

remaining mechs, lodaouts, and weak parts. thats it.

Especially after you've spent the match in the back someplace playing sniper cleaning up targets others did the tanking for originally. Fortunately unlike another fellow who does it almost always in a fafnir... you're typically not putting the team down an assault mech's worth of armor.

As the OP for this thread, I know he wasted me earlier in this battle (Cougar pilot this match), but how do you guys "rate" each other with the Jarl's and the '7% Commando' and so forth ? Like what is considered "reasonably good" as a pilot, or do you guys break things down in terms of Mech Class ?

Like, I'm mostly a Heavy and Assault player (or at least I started with ponderous IS Assaults like Anni and Fafnir, only spreading out to Clan mechs over the last 4-5 months or so). I tend to find my Direwolf my finest mech (in terms of match-to-match performance, with a recent 1065-damage Loss, sadly, as an example of what I am able to produce in it).

But do you guys assess people on a scale, or is it more on a "per mech" basis ? Like BackShot in his Flea here, or Veigle in his Cicada, or Taekwon in that 6-AC-2 King Crab I have only ever seen him in, etc etc ?

7% commando is not a stat but the % health remaining on the still walking commando at the end of the game in this last video link.

Alo for what is considered "reasonably good", from my experience it is really subjective from a guy to another.
Not everyone has the same expactations, from the most casual player to the most competitive one.

Of course all chassis doesnt have the same potential, and people are usually looking at overall stats.

One trick pony like taekwon or veigle are quite rare, most people like to have fun with different chassis.

And of course someone achieving 1k damage or an ace of spades in a locust will be more impressive than someone doing the same in a atm vgl3.

For me, the best expectations, are those just a little higher than what i can achieve right now. This is a way to always improve. Concerning you, i meet you often enough on the battlefield and i can really feel your progress, and i am not surprised at all, since you seem smart and willing to learn.
So many people in this game are just not willing to learn, that they dont progress at all, we can see lot of players with thousands of games played, still not shielding when they dont shoot, or going alone versus multiple mechs to suicide...
