CDN = Content Delivery Network, aka someone else's server cluster we rented and now broke so we gotta let someone else's tech take their sweet time "looking into it". IT guy: "Did you turn it off and on again?"

If it is some CDN - why is steam not working? What convoluted process results in one distribution way (Steam) with its own CDN to depend on a third party CDN (not named) that will not even allow a manual patch downloaded from PGIs own servers to make the cogs turn again?

Let us be generous and assume around 10k players are still active, but with the smaller patch sizes nowadays, i could have distributed the patch from my kitchens mp3 player by now. Why are you even using a CDN by now with the current numbers if it has the potential to screw the process up so badly?

I had tons of fun over the weekend with the increased Player count in FP, and now ... this.

I'd be interested in metrics backing up the "some of you" claim, because to have 250 people all actively monitoring this post suggests a lot more than "some" people being affected. Most posts only have 7 or 8 people watching at a time...
