Fast mechs have the easiest time disengaging from a fight so even if the other team holds a firing line against them, they will more often than not be able to pull back with only a few scratches.
In all of the game, there is only a single uncommon spawn, on a single map in a single mode where the timing is tight. That is HPG Manifold Skirmish mode when you have 5+ assaults so you get spillover into Bravo Lance. Usually even then, it requires a match with 2 or 3 very aggressive lights + assault lance support. And even then it depends which side you spawn, as one side is riskier than the other.
If you find yourself constantly "getting left behind" you are making mistakes plain and simple. You're slow off the start, you're moving in round about ways, you're stopping while the rest of your team is moving, you're running toward the enemy instead of toward your team, you're not cutting corners when possible, you're not paying attention to your team's movements, you're not aggressively pushing forward, you're setting up on some out of the way hill away from the rest of your team, or you're incapable of winning hilariously lopsided fights.

Wrong some maps have a central point people gravitate too and the most of the populate maps have those. Like HPG upper level just under the dish,Mining Collective its that center platform,Canyon and hibernal have the little center point with with towering rocks were the two canyons meet in the middle grim plexus has center hill with the buildings and caustic valley has the caldera. Yes some maps tend to have more nascaring for sure

.... giving your team to an opportunity to catch free kills from clueless opponents self-isolating themselves. If you can catch one or two free kills without losing anything, you're almost guaranteed to win.
Edit:
IMO Polar has a central feature kinda, but hard to recognize.
Its the FLAT no mans land in the middle.
The rest of the map has little dips and snowbanks, but the middle bit is really flat with very little such dips and snowbanks. IMO

It's bad enough in a light or medium trying to balance moving and shooting but in the heavier weight classes it means a lot more moving than shooting just to get left behind by 2/3 of your team.
If you are not in a light or very fast medium don't follow their flank, what is so hard about that? I get why it happens people see blue on the map moving around and just follow it like lemmings. Stop doing that.
Think about it:
- Upon logging in, you see the "Connecting" prompt -- with the rotating circle.
- When switching back to the main client screen after connecting, and after a match, you see "Loading" -- WITH THE ROTATING CIRCLE.
- When waiting for a match you see "Searching" -- WITH THE ROTATING CIRCLE!!!
I'm telling you guys PGI IS MANIPULATING US!!!
GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT WE'LL BE PROGRAMMED TO DO NEXT!
I'M SO AFRAID I'M GOING TO BE TURNED INTO THE CANOOKIAN CANDIDATE!!!

It happens less in Faction Play in large part because of the respawn system. If you tried rotating around the map you would constantly wind up getting sandwiched between the surviving players and the respawning ones. Not to mention the dropships blasting your butt.
Honestly, the anti-nascar people are completely misguided. Many really good players would love nothing more than to pick a mid-long range mech, sit back, and trade with you all game. Poke trading from a distance without being pressured is where a high skilled player will absolutely eviscerate teams. Forcing them out of their comfort zone and eventually into short range lopsided fights is the best way to beat teams with a couple of really good poke-trading players.
If I could use a strained football analogy: You don't beat the Patriots by out-quarterbacking Tom Brady. You beat him by not letting him play the game how he wants to play it. (ie: sitting comfortably in a pocket with all the time in the world to throw).
If some of the anti-nascar guys could just pay attention a little better and clean up their pathing, NASCAR is actually a great tactic to take away the biggest strengths a really good player in a pokey build has.

Would you say that good players have switched to dps builds as a result?
Cause I have
Edit: Not that Im good or anything
For example I use UAC's much more these days than gauss, especially since the old (rotation) maps returned.

I dunno, that's an interesting theory.

Reread my post. The simple fact when you are in an assault in a nascar you spend way more time running than you do shooting no matter how elite your *** is. You can do everything right and you are still moving more than shooting. I personally find the nascar boring and tedious no matter what mech I am playing.
