guys.. why argue with a "lurm specialist" ?

they already convinced themselves that they're a useful part of team - even if the 11 guys say otherwise.

every weapon in this game have some useful thing in it, and LRM is good distraction (and dps if player is so-so good) when I'm behind enemy lines and I mark target I want to kill, LRM support is more then helpful, I shoot them in the back while they try to hide from lrms so... yes I like to have 1-2 players with lrm... and yes I hate when I'm LRM target Posted Image

IMO lrm's are only useful if your team has a good "Narcer" .
The other side of the coin: a narcer is doing no dmg on his own...he's helping to do so.
In other words: no narc - no party, or: no uav - no party.
So: Don't jugde teammates on dmg-counter
Roles are important!

The problem isn't with the maps; it's with the player base.



More than one thing can be true at the same time. Map design, mode, mech design (favoring right-side builds), weapon meta changes (more brawl), and reinforced player behavior (prior success/failure) all contribute to the nascar syndrome.

Map/mode design certainly factors in as you get much less of this in Faction Play not only because of Siege maps but even on QP maps drop zones and reinforcements disrupt the ability to effectively nascar in many cases.

Thank Kerensky for FP as I cannot stand nascar and wouldn't be around if that's all there was.

To keep games going consistently, you need the flexibility to switch to the lesser population queue, I hope no one bothers with the Hero track.

It's enough to lose the titles when you switch, but resetting the progress to 0 each time might as well make the FP update not exist.

As usual you can't easily see which Mechs moved up or down in Solaris 7, so here is a little Overview


(Edit3: Lots of movement, but mostly mechs no one brings anyway. Biggest Impact should be HTM-SG and BNC-3S moving up a div as far as i can see)

CW- Leaderboards are not sorted correctly.
Sortable Leaderboard in CW like in Quickplay would be nice.


I personally would not reset the leaderboards in CW so often. But if you think its time for reset, then it shall be.


PS: And what is with Merc Pilots? They don't deserve to be in the Leaderboard?

Not true. I serve as a personal example of a LRM boat with impatience issues. :) I'm constantly forgetting to hang back, and go charging headlong into the enemy, only to get squashed flat. That goes for all of my builds, though. Doesn't really matter what build you've got if your team doesn't follow you in. I don't believe in letting go of "W".

Not sure how this conversation turned to LRM nerfs, though. I didn't see any mention of it in the patch notes...

On an unrelated note, a request to PGI: the next time you guys give us a Solaris Participant Warhorn, since you seem set on reusing old ones and just changing the number, can you go back to the Season 1 warhorn and start reusing that? It had a beautiful sound, and I've always regretted only getting one of them. I've been disappointed by every other Participant warhorn since the first one.

Ha ha.. a million things wrong with game and you patch something insignificant..

Right on par with WoW. Game has never ending broken things and they finally patch something most ppl nvr even knew existed..

But hey, at least you guys added more fluff instead of making the game work...sweet

Bwahaha

How about fixing;
1. While running "on some mechs", hitting map button makes me stop
2. Hitting chat button makes me stop on some mechs.
3. Press number pad 0 to run 100% from a full stop and and I start/stop running, and have to press 0 twice more to run. Does not happen on ALL my mechs.
4. Choosing MWO N.America, EU etc., works once per logon, "maybe".
5. Auto cannons have more "jam" than a jar of "jam"! Even skilled out.
6. 91 skill points....still ridiculous.
7. Exiting match should put you back to last screen you were in.
8. Battlemechs tab and sorting by "division" serves no purpose to anyone as no one knows what divisions are what! They mean absolutely nothing in deciding what mech to purchase.
9 Once you purchase a skill point you should always keep them!
10. Resetting skill tree should do exactly that! Reset the tree, not trash your 91 skill points!
11. Pilot skill rating should be changed to match skill rating.
Pilot skill when you lose a match will almost always be = or negative REGARDLESS of how well you played in the match. Playing a awesome match while your team still suffers a loss should NEVER reduce your Pilot Skill because that makes no sense! You've taking the pilot ability score and are basing it on the match outcome?
Already had a GM agree with me via email!


I'm sure these I've listed have been broken for years but lets just leave it and add some more fluff to suck $$ out of the kids using mommy's CC.

heat bug, narc not activating on impact, gaus ignores front CT armor and hits back armor (and Structure)...

Let's say you have a Jump-Sniper Mech, You unlock and activate all Hexes of the Jump-Jet Tree,

Then you change your mind, you dont want to play the mech as Jump-Sniper anymore, so you deactivate the Jump-Jet Tree an, lets assume you have an unlimited number of GSP or GXP or Skill Points, and then you activate a lot of Hexes in the weapons Tree instead.

Then you change your mind again and want to play the mech as a Jump-Sniper again, so you want the Skills again in the Jump-Jet-Tree. You deactivate the Hexes in the Weapons-Tree, and NOW you can reactivate the hexes in the Jump-Jet-Tree but its FREE.)

"Respec Skill Tree" still has to go. Make the "Revert Changes"-Button bigger to take the freed up space and you are good to go. Respec is really just throwing your investment out of the window by now, and new players have no way to know that.
