Greetings MechWarriors,
A quick maintenance downtime has been scheduled for MechWarrior Online Tuesday, November 19th at 10 AM PDT.
During this downtime players will receive their remaining MWO 2019 Customer Appreciation Rewards Items.
Please note there will not be a November patch deployed during this downtime.
As you can guess this is due to the entire team putting the final touches on MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries for its release date on December 10th, 2019.
Once MW5 has shipped and the team has some well deserved time off we will discuss future patch plans for MWO.
We sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding and hope that you'll appreciate participating in the upcoming event and sale which will be announced shortly!
The MechWarrior Online Team

Once the team has had some well deserved time off we will come back and figure out how to disassemble Mechwarrior Online and talk you into switching over to 5. Because this one is all screwed up.

It's pretty normal for a studio that has multiple projects to pull all hands on deck when one is about to release.

Except when the CEO of the company come out and says the two projects have separate teams and the development of one will not interfere with the progression of the other.

Take the time off, but have a crew ready for bug fixes. There is a littered field of poor releases out there. It would a real shame if MW5 joins the likes of Fallout 76 or Anthem. The faster PGI teacts, the less likely rollout will be ... problematic in the long run.

Take 2 months rest, then spend 2020 removing every last 2019 patch.

Except Hero rank I guess.

Said CEO also said that before they missed their first release date...

As a non native speaker this sounds like they will discuss IF there are plans for future patches. Like in: Depending of the launch success of MW5 we will decide if putting anymore resources in the dead horse mwo is even an option anymore.

PS: Just trolling. Port MWO to MW5 engine or make a new MWO as pvp multiplayer part in MW5. Add some start goodies or something and up we go.

So they're looking at next year before they even "maybe" start working on MWO,

So how long are we looking at.....

Unreal MWo 2.0 beta 2.5+ year
A clan invasion type of update would be 1.5+ years
Solaris or cw update would be 1+ years
Time jump with mods of systems we have now would be 7months
New map would be 6 months
Old map 5 months
New variants of old mechs 4 months.

I don't think PGI has the time to save this game. Anything under 1.5 years worth of work has shown to only push up the population for few weeks to a month.

The female devs are hard at work, but the male one are all just staring at their screen...

I think MWO got one of the male ones :P

it does feel that the company is abandoning the game to me... which is something I don't like.
