90% of mw5's problems will be "fixed" by mods in a year and few months when the game hits steam...which means steam sale price saved me a ton of money and hassle. Thanks egs exclusivity.

Have fun waiting =)

You really believe modders will need a year and that you won't miss any fun…

It's cute how narrow-minded some people still are.

Doesn't it bore yourself to go on hating "Epic" and post it every day?

"Please take that doll and show us where Epic touched you?".... LoL

Btw, guess who will be forgotten first, YOU or Epic? ^^

  • Epic bad.
  • Steam good.
  • Loot boxes bad.
  • Dark Souls roguelike good.
Smash that like button if you agree.

Whoa... it's almost like I was being facetious when I smashed my own Like button?

Hope you're feeling better by the time you log back into the forums. Spamming vitriol towards anyone you disagree with won't get you anywhere useful.

You made me laugh with your dumb post going all anti-epic assuming I hate it or such. I've used the launcher for unreal so that's already on my old rig. I just chose to use the launcher of my choice for my games. Pgi and epic trying to get players to use them with their exclusivity AFTER pgi originally said multiple distribution platforms is why I won't use epic for mw5. Also like a lot of other gamers I have a lot of investment in steam with games and productivity software through them. One game alone won't make me go to epic and start using their store.

Have fun with your epic sucking wang hate.

FOMO is the dumbest argument to defend purchasing from a soulless multi-million (or billion?) dollar corporation like Epic or Tencent.

I also hate Epic, and I think it's a good thing. If there was no continuing outcry against Epic, they wouldn't even try to improve their ****** services and practices.

So, actually, you should be thankful to us.

And who cares "who will be forgotten first"? On a universal scale, we're all absolutely insignificant. And it's not like you remember which corporations were a big deal in the 90's or 80's.

Yes you better purchase from the other multi-million dollar corp that also made its way to the top through exclusiveness, that makes it definitly better. Beside that FOMO is indeed a stupid thing and its not a valid argument.

Yes I am very thankfull that Epic made Steam and EA move their asses because they haven't improved in years at all. On the contrary, steam got worse.

If you're talking about Steam, I think Steam is crap. There's GoG though, which has better practices.

But it doesn't invalidate my argument against Epic. Epic has some of the worst practices, and so does Tencent. They shouldn't be rewarded for their behavior just because "they are competition in a stale market".

I agree, Steam got worse, but it hasn't changed after Epic came in the picture. And neither has EA or anyone else. Steam has done absolutely nothing to change a single thing after Epic started buying off game after game. Not. A. Single. Thing.

I meant in general, not just tech companies or game studios. For example, remember which was the biggest name of 80's without googling it?

When was the last time you opend steam? Else you would have seen that new...thing they call UI. Terrible design but its a change. Funny enough it now looks more like Epic.

Also haven't you heard that EA and Steam are working together now? Previously Origin exclusive titels are comming to steam and they evern want to put together their "community" aka a f***ing big data exchange will happen. You call that nothing happens? Dude the biggest online store merging with one of the biggest companies is nothing happening to you?

Next thing, steam had just an publicly open testing periode for some new tools, mostly of the "How can we sell you more stuff" disguised as "Now its easier to find what you want to buy" but it where 4-5 different tools to test before implementation. When was the last time steam opened up its toolbox to see how they can improve their shop?

GOG is working on GOG Galaxy 2.0 with a particular marketing around "combining all launcher". A campaign that started after the launch of EGS and people complaining that they want a unified store.

Yes Epic mixed up the market for better or worse.

That was coming before Epic got started. Tells you something it took them that long. Steam and Valve are stuck in mud.

Well, this is news to me, but I'd still call it minimum effort. Neither of them are doing anything to improve their services, they are just combining them in a greedy attempt. Oh, and Origin gave out a free month of Origin Access to a bunch of people (everyone even?). Still lazy as f*ck.

It took them over a year to even start doing something. And it's not like Steam wasn't on a steady decline already. They had to do something eventually, but this is minimum effort. I'd still call it nothing.

GoG Galaxy 2.0 was in beta WAAAAAY before EGS was a thing. I know, because they offered it to me.

Epic sure mixed the market, but there has still not been much of a response.

Also... this is going really off-topic here, so I'm not going to continue arguing about this anymore.
