So, to sum up recent events:
- NGNG contract terminated without warning;
- Community Manager with limited reach terminated; and
- All forum mods apparently terminated?

My only regret is not picking this game up until 2016. PGI may have run it into the ground with terrible balance decisions and a singular focus on dollars-via-mechpacks, but the base game coded by the original engineers has been a joy to play at various times, and I will miss it when the Russler turns off the lights for good.

Well some mods that are left. One surprises me given the, lack, of sensibility towards the role.

Some of the othes that are gone - well - can't say I'll shed a tear about those passing. Should have happened years ago. HOORAY for that.

Meh who cares. At this point there are likely 2 paths.

1.) The first is that MW5 influx of cash from hitting minimum with Epic wasn't enough. They are cleaning house. The License talks haven't been going well. MWO Shuts down.

2.) Mods apparently were pointless and didn't engage with the community in a good way. They might be cleaning house to hire new but yeah that might be dreaming.

I'm new to MWO. Been having a blast. I love it and the community and its seems to be big enough to always run into new players.

I mean, Battleborn died out way too soon.

Tomorrow was when it was meant to happen for MWO. That is what Russ said on twitter in Dec if memory serves.

However the podcast tomorrow has essentially turned into another MW5 update about DLC and the Mod Tools (which aren't a true mod tool)...

So who knows what is going on to be honest. There is not a lot of consistency in any messaging right now from Russ. It just conflicts each time.

But if I see correctly, Tina Benoit is still marked as Community Manager.

I just think that an official statement on part of PGI is in order.

It would be nice to let the community know why it's community manager was let go, and why NGNG was also booted. As far as forum mods go.. I can't say I'm all that surprised.. not after the "please bring back Cr3ator" thread was left unchecked for 3 days..

I'm always sorry to see people let go.. it's hard on all sides..

I just hope it's for the better this time, and that these events don't represent a plot point in the downfall of PGI as a company..
