Neither. Flamers cap heat on target at 4. Also, you have AMS ammo that your builds are not going to use since they have no AMS. Even for troll builds, these are pretty bad.

Don't you run into ghost heat though? Also, I thought overheating your own mech could cause ammo explosions?

He's talking about self-ignition, so he's using the AMS ammo to explode himself.
OP, Clan mechs have CASE auto-equipped, so you would need to move the ammo out of the arm if you wanted it to do anything. You would also probably want to use half tons to increase the chances that something explodes.

Clan has case so ammo isn't going to help in the arms.
