dangaling cockpit items are great if you have kittens and you are stoned. but they could stand to dangle more aggressively or the little kitties get bored.

make the mechlab useable with 16k monitors
let me set a zoom sensitivity ratio
remove every currency that is not cbills


edit: for map voting, pick the maps first THEN pick two modes that are available for those maps

being able to target things with tag while under stealth.


toning down internal structure numbers. Structure is nearly or better than armor right now a lot of times.

Allow turning on/off of war horns.



REMOVAL of map voting
Lower connection timer at the ready room.
remove game modes that no one likes to get it down to like skirmish, domination, assault.
RANDOM MAP AND MODE.

It takes WAY to long to get into a match once the MM places you. more than half the time you site there for 90 seconds because of potato computers, toss in the map voting part and general MM wait times and it gets LONG.

OH AND

ADD TERRA THERMA CLASSIC!!!

Option to switch weapon range I see in the cockpit. Switch from optimal to maximal.

And the 3 person view drone should destroyable. Or maybe it is already? Dunno.

While many of these are great ideas, almost none of these suggestions are "small changes" and even the kinds of things that people should rightly consider 'small changes' are sisyphean tasks in MWO's dev environment (which to be fair, happens to most games).
PGI stated some time ago that they are no longer developing MWO.
PGI has nearly zero income to invest, even if they did want to make changes; Neither do they have the staff to develop, test or implement said changes.
We're lucky to see them put up regular challenges and keep the servers going. That's it - that's the bar and sum total of what's possible now, just keeping the lights on.
The only way you're going to see anything more is if another company somehow gets its hands on the license and creates an entirely new game... and even there hope that companies like Tencent or EA don't get their hands on it.

Basic quirks in different color than those from skill tree. If i get lost in my mechlab I have to check basic quirks of my mechs in the shop. Little annoying.

conquest is the only dynamic game mode that can be won without just killing all the mechs. Assault, incursion, and Domination are always won by mech destruction and almost never by the other objective unless its down to like only 1 left on the team. Never seen domination won by one team pushing the other out long enough to win. Incursion, sometimes you get a massive base rush but usually never works out. Assault, you might be a cap win if the other team just ignores the fact you are capping.

Its just weird to irrationally insist on keeping modes in rotation that are very much complelty dead. Keeping them for years even though they literally never win votes and are thus never (!) played just gives the impression a dev is out of touch with reality.

Oh boy, this subject huh. There are a few smaller changes I would make to improve the game for all players, most of which is definitely going to annoy more than a few older players. Lets go over them, shall we?

1) Lower Matchscore and Cbills gained from combat-based bonuses and increase Matchscore and Cbills gained from Objective-based bonuses.
This is pretty self-explanatory. Part of the problem with the game is that it rewards combat far too much. This naturally drives players into the heavier weightclasses in order to actually earn Cbills to do stuff with the mechlab while also making it harder for lighter mechs to achieve anything, since most of the normal roles they play end up paying next to nothing. Not to mention the fact that it encourages the ever annoying issue of people playing every mode in game as Skirmish, thus ignoring the objective entirely in order to make the match worthwhile. Altering the bonuses to encourage playing the Objective is a fairly easy way to give a leg up to Lights and lighter Mediums without actually buffing them as well as encouraging a bit of Role Warfare, which is never a bad thing.

2)Remove Map and Mode voting.
This is a change that has popped up in the forums with relative frequency, and it's fairly easy to see why. Map and Mode voting has caused the diversity of builds to fall rather dramatically since it's implementation. After all, why create a build capable of handling most maps and modes in game if you can simply force the game to pick the ones you want all the time? Random maps and modes would cause players to actually have to adapt, thus improving the diversity of builds since it removes the ability to force the game to give you the exact map and mode your build is set up for.

3)Revert Pre-Civil War, Non-MG Ballistics back to 2016 stats while applying a Ghost Heat limit of 2 to CUAC-10s.
Another spreadsheet change with big potential impacts on the game, since around the time of the Kodiak's launch Ballistic weapons were in a fairly good place with one glaring exception. CUAC-10s lacked Ghost heat for some reason, which was a bit of an issue. Prior to the Bear's launch, the only mech that could successfully boat those particular guns was the Dire Wolf, which, like most Clan Assault mechs at the time, had a slew of built-in flaws that prevented it from being a problem. The Kodiak lacked any of the normal flaws to keep it in check, resulting in the KDK-3 becoming the next godmech. Now, admittedly, a lack of Ghost Heat on CUAC-10s was not the only reason the Dakkabear was as oppressive as it was(the mounts on the 3 were a definite factor, as was the issue of post-Rescale PUGs thinking that charging a DPS-based Assault mech head-on over open ground was a good idea), but it was a major factor that could have been avoided with a simple application of Ghost heat, but instead saw the collective gutting of the entire weapons category that, even now, still has not been fixed.

4)Remove Skirmish from the game.
This change is a simple one that should have happened back when Incursion was added. Assault is literally just a better Skirmish, since it has a secondary objective that allows a losing team to win if they play smart. Seeing as Skirmish's continued existence adds nothing of value to the game, there is no reason not to remove it.

Lights are damage dealers too. All you are doing is asking for match score and cbill rewards to be re-weighted to less well reflect contributions that win matches.

If anything I'd think that'd just further cement the dominance of mid-range and mpl mechs because they work relatively well on all maps. Reducing the ability of a specialist build to increase the odds of getting a map that is particularly well suited to it through map voting decreases variety of it has any impact on it at all.

Wait, are you arguing dakka is not currently strong? Dakka mechs are some of the strongest in the game right now.

Incursion and assault are probably the two worst game modes in the game right now. Incursion is basically skirmish with a) the opportunity for players to throw games by base-rushing with one or two mechs, and B a long walk at the end to tickle a base. Assault is a terrible game mode because it adds no real strategic element and opens the possibility for un-fun cheese like spider-5v base rushes.

Both needs split of the team, both needs awareness to counter it and both brings another tactic then a deathball to win or not lose.
Breaking the deathball and using at least a little tactics is what we need more not less ...
