Oh no, another event with trial mechs.

By now all the old champion loadouts are really bad, so this will be painful. The rewards are large enough too that people are going to do it.

This event could easily be sub-titled “The Tank Your PSR Challenge”

Second line could also use a $ sign. Read the white text first and wondered 6.95 MC? Also why $ before the price. Shouldn't it be 6.95$ ? Just wondering because I am used to have the currency behind the prize. Maybe its different in the US/Cananda? @Matt Can I propose another deal? I would buy a Map Editor for MWO that allows maps to be created for private matches and it would be allowed to upload them to the community.

In US and Canada the $ sign comes before the amount in normal text usage but there are different situations were it comes after. (Financial Reports etc)

No go on the map editor.

So champion mechs, are the all different compared to their non champion counterparts in loadout, or quirks, or both?
I never really bothered looking into champions and always went for the fancy colored heros.

Just the starting configured Loadouts are different on the "Champion (C)" Mech version, along with the addition of a +30% XP Quirk to help train it quickly... Other than that, there are no differences, and all other Quirks are the same as the Basic version. B)

~D. V. "not that much different in what a 'Champion (C)' is designed for versus the Basic version" Devnull

so why would I spend MC on a champion then? once they are skilled up they are just the same as the non champion version.

Change the Jagermech build back to the double AC20 and we'll talk

Because many of the champion builds come with XL engines and ferro/endo upgrades, and buying the package with MC saves the c-bill grind

As of the time of posting it seems to me that the champion mechs are not yet on sale? I'd prefer to buy them for 50% off and play with those instead of trial mechs.

Edit: Now they're there.

Champions have always been a poor value proposition. They always immediately lose their sole bonus upon mech mastery.

The only time they were seen often was back in the day when the 3 mech system meant that one would have to use 3 variants in a chassis thus the MC packages had one hero, one solid plain, and one champion version mech.

Now that the skill maze is in the champion variants are completely useless.
