I didn’t complete every kill with Champion mech challenge, but I had the opportunity to attempt it. It’s more about being able to take part and not feel excluded.

In fact, it says "There are no Dropship Deals available."

Exactly, but also to try and keep the game alive by having active participation. People that have spent a lot of money and own the Hero mechs are either still playing a lot or have long since abandoned the game. New players or casual players don't get enticed to participate in an event because they lack the mechs.

As per the YouTube Hero Tease video -
The Limited Edition version had special branding an cheerleader cockpit item. I'd forgotten the LTD version even existed until they re-did the 'Mechs you own page and called it out. I know you can own multiple heroes, but seriously wonder if people would own both versions?

I thought I DID have the LTD version, when I saw it called out in the Solaris Division listing, but realized I just had two copies of the regular one once they updated the profile page. I think I bought one and got the other one as an event reward.

Aye no Dropship deals.. also why trickle the sales out... so alphabetically last is .. ages away..

EDIT : also OP, the first 'challenge' is the easiest ever to get a week of premium time, and you do not need to do anything special.

Check the reward to effort ratio and make a discussion if its personally worth it or not.
At least you have the option to do the event, and the option not to do eet. Its up to you and for you if you wish.

The non-hero part of the rewards are happening anyway - basically a gift of a week premium time just for getting shot

Don't you know? Events like this "Heroes to the Rescue" (or "HttR" for short) are MEANT to be rare, as doing too many of them could drive people away from this game! If that happens, how would you then play any of these Events that are kindly provided to us? Let us avoid looking the proverbial 'Gift Horse' in its' mouth, alright?

I don't know what Matt Newman will have to say about that... But, I had last heard that you can get in on those battles with your choice of Mechs & Drop Deck selected, and all without regard to your Current Faction which you have personally chosen. Therefore, there should be nothing preventing you from using your choice of Mechs on the battlefields. Obviously, if that's not correct, then please tell me about your experience in more detail. I was unfortunately out-of-the-loop for a year recently.
