Here's the thing . . . Low Slung Arm Syndrome should not exist. Mechs are supposed to be able to lift their arms. That's why they have arms. So for example a Griffin should be raising its arm to fire its PPC from shoulder height, maybe using the same in-game mechanism that opens the missile bay doors on your Archer before it fires.

Yeah, that would be nice. But I do not think that PGI will implement it.

Nope. if it was easy to the mech's arms to animate properly, then they would have attempted physical combat by now. As it is, they've doubled down on the whole "walking tank" idea, where everything above the legs really is just a turret.

Komodo's got you covered.

11 energy, ECM, 2 AMS, and JJs all in one 45-ton package.

PGI would have to go HAM with the apocryphal variants, but I've always wanted this mech.

Might as well through in a 12 ballistic variant with an even bigger base engine while we're having fun.

The Komodo's issue is that its weapons are all in its arms, making it easy to remove all its firepower. Like a Jenner or a Nova, basically.

Oh nobody has Stupid Arm Weapons down to a science like the not-unseen versions of the Crusader!

Go unseen or go home. And honestly, I vote Unseen. Crusader. Gimme-have-it.

Some Clan Mechs

Firemoth: The Fast Boy.
Firefalcon: Gunboat 25 Tonner Omni.
Mongrel: 45 tons is an excellent weight slot and I always want more 45 tonners.
Black Python: 75 tons, and covered in energy and ballistic hardpoints. This thing would be terrifying and there's no two ways about it.
Naga: 80 ton clan missile boat.
Kingfisher: With the appropriate quirks, this standard engine fixed omni could occupy a niche as a clan tanky assault brawler, but again it needs strong quirks to do that. With the Cauldron around, that seems less unlikely now.
Turkina: Again with appropriate quirks, that it absolutely would need to function, the Turkina could occupy a niche as a nimble jumping alternative gunboat to the more landlocked Direwolf.

Some IS Mechs

Raptor/Owens/Strider: Lighter, faster Omnimechs using IS tech. Honestly we're at a point where IS omnimechs would work so long as those with fixed XL engines are given the appropriate quirks to survive.
Avatar: Has a fixed XL engine, but with good geometry and some good quirks, a 70 ton IS omnimech would be a cool addition to the game.
Templar: 85 ton omnipod hardpoint soup. Lots you could do with it, but it needs quirks to counteract a fixed IS XL engine.
Sunder: A 90 ton IS brawler Omni. It would need quirks to protect its engine but bulking up IS mechs is not unprecedented. It could occupy a similar niche to the clan Kingfisher.
Hauptmann: This is an IS direwolf. Its slow, 5 tons lighter than the dire, but has high mounts for large ballistics, and ECM.

Addendum: We have LOTS of mechs. I would be more excited about seeing existing mechs that see little use being brought up to snuff than i would be about seeing all new mechs while old favourites gather dust from years of successive nerfs.

I agree with this. It does seem the Cauldron are trying to rebalance obsolete mechs. Some mechs are always just going to be useless unfortunately. There's always going to be either a better variant or just a better chassis. Excited to see the requirking though.

I’m pretty sure... I am not alone... in wanting a Bane (Kraken) clan battle mech...

A lot of ballistics with arms at cockpit level with a slim ct profile... 100 tons of pure unadulterated carnage! I mean... 14 ballistics... 14! That’s like... a lot!

I don't think any mech is "useless." Sometimes you just want a troll build to screw around in, sometimes you want to see just how much you can get away with mounting only a feeble weapons array on a slow, thinly-armored powderpuff of a mech, sometimes it's just for the lulz. Yeah, you've got your tryhard metawarriors who will only ever run an absolutely top-end optimized build, but when you're just playing for fun, anything goes. And sometimes you just want your close-to-lore mech because your heart wants what your heart wants.

For clans :Turkina and Woodsman.
For Inner Sphere: Crusader and Imp or Pillager (the Victor big brother)

Stone Rhino is outdated , bad design, you can make the only one confugurtion the Rhino has on the Kodiak 2 and 3 , why would you want guys the exact same mech wiht different skin? Cuz this is what you wants.

Kingfisher? Hell no !!! Same reason why IS fanboys dont want IS omnis, Kingfisher is omni ,but the cheap variant ,standard reactor with standard chassis, and because clan omnis chassis and reactors locked , this is almost unplayable for a 90 tons claner, same as IS omnis locked with XL reactors die very fast , thus nobody want them in MWO (not even me).

and by the Axeman for example you have 5t for a not useable Melee-Mainweapon and against the Tabletob in game Reality a slow 64kmh Mech with a Melee Weapon is very useless out of TT
