I don't believe you'll be able to sell these, but hey, adding completely free mechs to your collection by simply playing one game ain't a bad thing!

I've not looked at it closely yet, but others in the thread have noted it's the Mountain Line camo pattern. Given that, I'm pretty certain you would have to purchase that pattern for each variant you want to use it on in order to be able to use it on your other mechs.</div>

Are you sure you didn't mean "each chassis" where you stated "each variant", being as the purchase of an "Unlockable"-type Camo causes it to unlock for ALL Variants of a given Chassis, unlike how the "One-Shot"-type only applies for the time it is present on a single Variant?

I was ready to leave MWO behind, but this holiday bonus to the players shows me PGI understands what I've been communicating this past few months.

I might stick around for the 2021 update. Just remember there are competing products that have implemented my suggestions and are competing for my time and funds.

I asked Matt about the camo and colors. Here’s his reply:

“The mech comes with Mountain line and those 3 colors as the Default.
However they are just accessed as the Default.
It doesn't grant ownership of Mountain line for use on other variants of the same chassis
Nor does it unlock the colors for use on any Chassis.
It's just the Default settings. (like any special Mech)”

Sounds about right. They did this before, hunchback P with phranken as (S).

I'll hope to see a "Like" from Matt Newman on your post, just as confirmation that others will recognize. A little surprised you didn't post an outright screenshot, though.

Would be cool if the 3 colors that come as default would also be on sale during the event period so we could buy them to use on other mechs should we want them.

Agreed, I think what Matt has done with the freebies is great especially considering that they didn't release any new mechs recently that could have spun off these variants and that with the recent acquisition and not having a team for MWO back they dont really have the resources to just create a new loadout and pattern. I am all for having PGI move faster, skip the townhall and start implementing the changes to MWO ASAP, but I the bonus mechs is something I am not criticizing for just being existing variatns with a C-bill bonus and a different default camo. I did not expect any xmas bonus and I am delighted by getting these two mechs.
