My net was down so I used the hotspot on my phone. Logged in and picked my Scorch in Tourmaline. Suddenly everyone was walking in place and my ping was 900. Died doing 0 damage with 23 match score.

On the bright side, my hotspot connection was decent long enough for me to get 2-3 shots off on the second match and I got it.

Edit:

I'll be in T4 for awhile skilling up this urbie and practicing mechs I'm bad at. I'll just play my Scorch when I want to get back to T3.

First match back in a looong time. Brought out my gold Crow, fired a few shots with the large pulses, overheated and got wrecked.

Still had enough fun that will probably play again in a few months after picking up the free mech.

Yes, have two gold mechs Crow and Dire. Used to love someone that didn't love me back (ahem).

I'm a truck driver and play on hotspot a whole lot. Some places, it's horrid at best. Time to play total war or something offline. Any hoot, try restarting your phone, and turn off apps that use data... It does help a lot...

I managed to get the match score 20 times over in the only qp drop I did for this event, AND STILL LOST THE DROP, lol

yea i played one crappy game, and i still managed to get 50.

At least you disconnected. Saw a handful of people fail to achieve 50 when they were in legitimate matches.

I'd like to have seen it be 150 or 200, something still perfectly achievable for most people within a couple of matches, but enough to stop the "log in, hold w, redeem, log out".

Luckily TTB was on my team in my One Game on Tourmaline, so there was plenty of opportunity to fight the reds without anything as pesky as a quick finish. We did win though, and handily held back red alpha lance's organized push. IV-Four still top tier as always. Dumb thing is as agile as an Assassin... Nobody tell PGI.

I saw you die in Caustic yesterday, you did 345 damage so it was better than my 211 :/

I'm almost back to tier 5 from tier 2
