Just wondering when the planned new content for the game can be expected to be confirmed and rendered active for MWO players?
Is there going to some sort of Beta Testing of the planned new content?

That was a ruse by Russ to increase player numbers so he could sell PGI to EG7 for more.

No, all we have are Russ Bullock's "Maybe.", "We are thinking about it.", "We will prepare a plan." and our favorite "In 60-90 days."

Beta testing? LOL. If you mean that, like PSR and matchmaking, they're just gonna throw the switch on fabulous new improvements and then watch us "beta test" it never to be changed again, then yes.
We know that PGI can't program the game, so my guess is that they will start vomiting mech packs because that's how they made their money to develop MW5, they have to show EG7 how profitable this game is, and now they need more money to again develop a new hot mess of a title while MWO remains half an *** away from fully functional.

More Mechs (cash shop)
More Decals and Colors (shop)
Maybe some map overhauls..
A few bug fixes..
I wouldn't expect a lot of anything else.
I hope they fix the memory leak when you open mech labs on lots of your mechs.. I was trying to pull all my warhorns and extras off of my 224 mechs (you have to go to each and every mech) and the game crashed 4 times during it. (win 10)

Yes, we did. Especially that part of the news where Russ Bullock mentions that PGI is working on a new game that will be based on a different IP.

The MWO players have been providing input for the last eight years. Unfortunately, 99% of that input has been ignored by PGI.

But seriously, MWO/PGI did listen to a few suggestions, and started to re-introduce Special (S) mechs
that were no longer available.
eg: Bundle sale for the Special version of the IS Phoenix Project mechs
http://mwomercs.com/store/bundles
I personally hope that the Steam Special mechs would come back for purchase!!
eg: WHK-C(S) with heat reduction quirk, laser in CT

from PGI?!

..well, to give this a positive vibe: look to catalyst games; some tasty new battlemech-models to buy.
I'm sure lots of other new battletech-related stuff, too.

Happy New Year and may the Great Urbie in the sky watch over you.

Soup queue is what a vocal minority wanted.
Nope.. i read every single post out of the hundreds in the forum.. many wanted this (at least 50%) and even reinstalled the game after years of being away.. the forum was greatly filled by the same few posters that were against it..

There's always a spike in population around the new year. That's just the XMas holidays, don't read in to it too much. If it's still up in March/April you might be right as it means players are sticking around.
