M1ster1, the education center it self may be empty now and again.
But you can consider a lot of those channels on the public TS as training channels.
There are so many people on that TS who like to share their thoughts and help out new guys.

Just remember you do not have to join any corp/house to get help from people.

I am a decent player and great teamplayer, I don't mind following orders at all. Anyone may add me and invite me to a group.

I mainly play Stalkers for now and also have some Atlai chassis. If you are lacking a man in your group you may add me. I don't use teamspeak for now, but I can play well without that.

Just as a FYI this thread is not a recruitment center
There are plenty of people who don't use comms and just launch with random guys.
However I do recommend installing TS and even if you don't have a mic you will find people to run with.

Hi Warriors,

I am not sure, but hope this is the right place to ask questions.

1. I am looking for damage figures about weapons. I have read previously that using some kind of weapons together won't cummulate damage. E.g.: fireing 3 PPC at once do cummulated damage or just a part of its total damage? Where can I find answer?

2. Consumable modules like coolants or airstrike cuold be purchsed by MC or simple c-bill?

3. Does Streak SRM affected by artemis or those are useless together?

4. I have problems with improoved targeting window. If I use it in the game the red triangular above the enemy mechs sticks on the top and do not sign the place of mech any more, if it is not targeted. Sometimes the picture also stucked or fall apart. Is this only my problem or general?

5. Does anybody knows how the computer slect players for a game? Weight, esperience, mech type or something else?

Weapons fired together will do their normal damage. Heat penalties are going to be added for firing above a certain number of the same weapon but these have not been implemented yet.

Some consumable modules can be purchased with MC some can be purchased with c-bills. The c-bill versions work the same as the MC versions however they require GXP upgrades in the pilot try to be as effective. See the following thread for details.

Yes, SSRM are effected by Artemis. You will get a decrease in lock time of about 0.5s. Artemis doesn't add any weight or size to SSRM, so aside from the cost this is a "free" upgrade. Absolutely, 100% worth adding to SSRM.

Not sure on this one. I don't use the advanced zoom and it's generally thought to be a useless module.

Matching is based on mech tonnage and player ELO. ELO is determined separately each weight class you pilot. It goes up when you win, it goes down when you lose. KDR, damage, XP, etc. do not affect ELO, only W/L (beating better players will give you a bigger ELO boost, losing to worse player will give you a larger drop).

OK, I'm new to the TS thing. I just spent about an hour waiting in the Looking for Group channel, but every time anyone else joined the channel, someone would jump in and invite that person to join them on a Dropship channel. I get that some people already know each other, but I assumed that eventually somebody would invite me into a group too.

Please tell me I'm doing this wrong and that I'm not secretly hated by everyone in the game. It's not like I'm a Team Killer or anything.

the public TS on the NA server is open to everyone.
you can join nearly any channel at all and just say hi.
what your doing wrong would be not noticing when there is a group with a space in it.
basically you looking for people who are running 4 man groups, so you want a group with 3 and under in the channel.
it has been quite during certain times so not lots of groups are going.

Thanks. I tend to be a little socially awkward in new situations. I didn't want to break some unwritten rule by joining an existing group.

So here is a question....I understand how to read the battlegrid and take control as a lance captain, ect....but how do you actually issue lance commands? I've tried clicking and dragging and that doesn't work. Are there hotkeys for it?
