The fact you've provided a text summary is by far the biggest leap of progress since the last mech was released.

It is not as good as the full text version, but at least it is a step in the right direction.

That was a good stream! I can't wait to see what's to come to mwo. I do hope they take into consideration some of the mechs I grew up with back in Mechwarrior Dark Age Clix. ^^

"A more fluctuating meta" is the goal for the game going forward.

Hmm. What could possibly go wrong here? I mean PGI has always had such a solid grasp on what is going on in their game and what is "meta" at any given point in time. Like the time when Chris told us that MK-IIs were not a high performer but that the TimberWolf was a top performer even at the competitive level. This is gonna get ugly.

Love the time breakdown.

Mackie, Crusader - PLZNO

Gotta be IS omnimechs... by far adds the most "new and interesting"

I agree with this statement here. The only thing I would gladly pay money for at this point is an IS Omnimech. I don't care how it's done, but making packs based on IS BattleMechs, Clan Omnis and Clan BattleMechs loses its flavor afterwards and I want to see something unique for the IS department. Give me a Hauptmann, Men Shen, Sunder or Templar and I'll gladly spend cash again. Otherwise, I'll wait for a C-bill release instead for other mechs.

"We are not just going to make changes and then walk away from them." "We will work with you"...

I very much doubt that you will "work with me". If you would, you would have given us the solo que back. A lot of us have asked to give us the option to opt out of "groups in solo que". And i know its not just me feeling this way. As, at least for me personally, all i am seeing is worse quality of matches for me, and i would like to go back to what it was before, even if that means longer wait times for me, because i opt out of it. I can do without 1/3 of the team running around in ROFL Meme builds, because its good fun to drop as an all "Jenner" squad. And say nothing of LURM 4mans. This really can't be much harder than opting out of SEA server.

And for those members of the community that now feel threatened because they love playing with their friends and will provide their extrovert opinion to little introvert me by suggesting that i should "just get a group":

No, i have no desire to group up or join a unit. I do understand that it was good for all of the people that want to play with their friends, but i would actually prefer to opt out without having to opt out playing the game at all, because quite frankly i am just having a worse time. And yes, i imagine it to be quite fun to drop with your 3-4 friends in all Shadowcat groups... or whatever have you... its just not for me.

And now for something entirely different...

...turning off comments on youtube is probably not going to go over well. Not only is it known that youtube algorithm doesn't like that, and favors videos with "engagement" on them but also is the youtube community quite aversed to turned off comments. Which is likely going to see downvotes for the sheer fact that you turned off the comments. It would have been better to leave them on, even if we know the topic you do not want to be discussed would be discussed over there (not like its not being discussed anyway), but at least you would have had the algorithm share the video with people... potentially bringing back more people when they see the roadmap than just those that are already present in the community and come to your website.

This was a missed opportunity to have the youtube alogrithem recommend some of the people that used to watch all the youtube people like Baradul a while ago and giving them a random recommendation for this Roadmap update.

Just so you know, I love removing time of day changes, but I would also be totally stoked about adding map variations. I think when it comes to map variations, including existing variations such as classic versions, they should be considered one map for the purpose of selecting a map to play on.

Ex: the algorithm chooses 4 random maps, and then chooses which variation of each of those 4 maps
(perhaps weighting certain variations over others for purposes such as keeping a map 50/50 between classic or modern)

I'm really hoping we see ams nerfs or more comprehensive lrm changes.
I like playing Lrms sometimes, and it is incredibly frustrating to get HARD countered by ams.

Personally, I think ams needs a range nerf, and non-lrm missiles need a health increase.
I'm okay with ams being an answer to lrms, but I hate when the enemy team has a single corsair and I can't hurt anyone on their team. I can't tell you how many times I alpha-strike with a missile boat and hardly tickle my target despite having clear line of sight, or how many times my missiles are obliterated before they even exit my mech. Ams should be a soft counter, and skilled lrm players should be able to play around the system.

I appreciate you have taken feedback on the vlogs into consideration and the production value and focus of the conversation reflects that as well as the outline and text description so many people were asking for. Thank you!

Let's go!
