I redeemed the Huntsman about an hour ago, but it isn't appearing in my account. Is it something that takes time, or am I glitched?

Same here, did you get it eventually?

After I redeemed my huntsman it didn't appear either. Next day, about 14 hrs later, it was in my inventory. But no pop-up or anything like that.
So just waiting solved it for me. Tried re-logging etc and those didn't work.

I like the event because you actually have to work for your food! If you think this event has a lot of pieces to it, you should see what it takes to complete a World of Warships event! WAY more difficult.

You're getting a free mech out of the deal, so you gotta put in the work to get it! I, for one, enjoy events that are challenging ... even thought this event really isn't that challenging when you break it down. Struggling with a part of it ?? Stop by my stream and ask questions, am happy to help!

Thank you, I´m not saying the event is THAT difficult, I´m pointing that almost nobody is using UAV´s so you may play long hours to get the camo and NOTHING.

That´s very annoying.

The mech is already mine, it´s the camo that matters, the Huntsman looks very good with it !

As this event looks like its spnsored by RAZER, I would have prefered a SPECIAL mech ( like the Centurion NCIX ).

Regarding the keyboard, I just bought something CHEAPER today from another manufacturer:

If you prefer instant gratification, redeem the items using the in-game events page using the Sigma (Big E) button at the bottom.

I had no issue getting getting 10 UAV kills. There were some matches where I got two or even three in one match.
I have not played in a few days, so it could be different now. However with players trying to get 1K missile damage as well as 20 UAV detections it seemed like UAV's were all over the place. Maybe players are now only focusing on the mech and not all the other rewards?

I have only played 20-25 matches in the event so far, and the only thing I am short on for the mech is component destructions. I should finish that up in a few more matches.
Being a very average at best player, it seems like the event is at a good difficulty level.

The event forces you to play several matches to get the rewards. As well as forces you to play a variety of play styles. In my opinion this combination is great, especially for new players. It is a way of teaching the game while giving away free stuff.
It also rewards veteran players and keeps things fresh.

That said, to counter my own point, the biggest downside to the event is that the new players could have a difficult time outfitting their mechs with all the different weapons and gear to achieve all the rewards. However the ones for the free mech shouldn't be too hard because they are all generic and just require paying.

It took some time but I was able to achieve all the goals. The hardest goal for me when we have events is always kills or component destruction because I rarely play assaults and don't get a lot of kills typically. I found that switching to SRM builds helped with component destructions quite a bit for this event.

I'd like to recommend that you halve the components destroyed requirements and double or triple the damage done/match score requirements instead. It's more natural to play for damage/match score than it is to farm components and leave your enemy alive. At the end of the day for these events, you just want people to play a lot, right? I'd have more fun doing damage over not killing my enemies for components.

Destroying an enemy mech rewards you at least one component. Why would you leave them alive?

True, but for this event, 100 components destroyed is likely the last thing everyone achieved. If you kill one mech a match, it'd take you 100 matches. Meanwhile, another objective was KMDD or Kills. You had to get 50 of these, but you can get a KMDD without getting any component destructions. I'd say 75 components would have been more balanced, but like Elizander said, increasing the match score/damage threshold some and drop component destructions some. But not too much.

One kill is gonna give you at least one component destroyed, but that is the minimum you'll get, it's much more likely to have several components destroyed and no kill. on average it should be around 3-4 components destroyed per match.

Eh, not in my experience. Maybe just me. I did switch to some SRMs and then started really racking up the component destructions.

Just wanted to offer my thoughts on the event.

Overall: I'm pleased; most of the requirements were reasonable (the UAV kills one felt bizarre and I don't think I'll be able to accomplish it) and the rewards fairly interesting.

Regarding the Schedule: Normally this would have been plenty of time, but I lost several days due to winter-storm power outages and I know I'm not the only one; I hope some kind of extension or a 'eh, you got close enough before your power went out so here is your reward' arrangement is made.

The Huntsman Mech itself: This is the one thing I'm displeased by. 100 components was a pretty time intensive grind, and getting a Huntsman I already had is a really lousy reward. I presumed it would be a sponsor-specific Huntsman with the 'special mech' bonuses per match, much like the NCIS Centurion was a while ago.

Overall? I think this was a decent event. I dislike the UAV-kill based quest and the reward for the largest quest, but everything else was okay.

Ironically, the worse of a player you are the more cbills you will have ground out by the end of the event... and you could just buy the mech.

It's a whole month for requirements that could be done in a few hours by a great player, or a few sessions for the average. People complaining the requirements over a month are too steep just shows people will complain about anything.

I for one like the direction PGI are taking. More progress has happened in the last few weeks than the last 2 years.

Pardon my being confused, but this Event has been given a total of "23 Days, 4 Hours" to earn things within. During that, the three most difficult things to get finished are the "Component Destruction", "Scouting", and "UAV Kills" elements of the Challenges to be completed. How much of this time did the winter storms knock out your power for, such that you feel an inability to finish enough of the Event that we have been given?

Component destruction is just grind. Scouting is ez as long as you play a fast mech - just be the first to get radar contact on opfor and spam R.
The most "demanding" goal I see in the event are Hit & Runs, but even that is manageable with a sufficiently evasive mech (or not; imagine getting H&R...with a Direwolf) and by the time you get the 100 components you'll be ways along that too.
UAV kills are conditional on the opfor using UAVs, but perfectly doable if you have some medium lasers on your mech's arms and pay attention to when a UAV goes up.

I wonder. We have six days left of the event, and it took me maybe three to knock out every goal.

H'n'R works pretty good on Dires or Fafnirs. You HIT, the enemy RUNs. Posted Image The system does not distinguish between who broke contact in the engagement.

Didn't immediately hear about the event because this game's fairly low on my radar these days. Found out about it like a day or two before the storms. I got things done in the end, but suffice to say I don't zealously keep up on this game.

I'm sorry you suffered power shortages due to the snowstorm. But the Event designer can't cater to that, nor the folks that don't really follow the game's news, be it twitter, the forums, playing the game, or FB. Looking at the whole event, the time to complete was VERY generous. Enough so that some of us were able to complete the challenge several times over; even with only a few hours playtime per week.

I'm glad you were able to get it done, and that a lousy storm doesn't totally knock you down... even though I can't see your current Tier Status in the game. :)

But, the insult which you're firing back at me is NOT warranted in any way. If you had noticed the emote that I happened to end the body of my post with, then you would have noticed that I was actually confused about what I was reading from you! Next time that we're interacting here in the Forums at all, could you PLEASE avoid taking the worst interpretation from anything I post in reply to you? I would really appreciate it. :(

By the way, my hand-signings are usually either my mini-take/feeling on my own post which can express things in another way, or a side-thought that doesn't fit elsewhere. They've been part of my own style for quite some many years now, and they're not meant in any kind of hostile manner. Please keep watching, as they occasionally get humorous. ;)

I have not seen it mentioned in this thread, but the requirements for UAV-Kills and Components destroyed have been substantially lowered. Thanks a lot Matt(?) i presume.

Was not going to go through with this because it felt too grindy, but with just a few to go i will get my huntsman and the camo.
