Since all founders have seemingly been in game,Shouldn't the developers be pushing and showing more actual game play and what MWO is actually capable of?The lack of info on the true "beta"game is kinda disappointing..Few actual screenshots, vids or just basic information other than its MWO and blindly give your money to be a founder and beta access..You'd think the dev's would be spewing out every little bit they could to show us what in wait. But all i can find for actual footage is maybe a couple min of actual in game footage action....I know i know i know BETA BETA BETA,Seriously though, seems as though more is hidden than is shown.Sorry it's gettn late and tired of scrounging net for more official or leaked info.

For less than a day...

yes.. 16,000 beta keys sent out before today.. but yer.. give it time.

Also they did just release a new video.. the Jenner video.. and a map reveal not long before that too.

The end of summer is not very specific I know.. but considering the official end of summer is September 21st.. it's not that far away.

Where on earth are you looking? Under a rock?

There are many, many videos released showing a lot more than a couple of minutes of gameplay footage..

Now that I've answered your questions... I wonder if you are serious or just trolling.

There will be more information soon as Russ Bullock posted this in one thread :

There is no decision yet as to when non founders will get into the beta. All I can promise for now is that on or before Aug 7th we will release another round of official information to update everyone on the latest plans and status of beta across the board. We are running along as fast as we possibly can to get this game released. But we won't release the game or go into the next stage until the product us ready for it.

The Jenner video is not actual gameplay. That was CLEARLY scripted. Or the pilots in the 'Mechs shooting at the Jenners were suffering from extremely poor piloting and MASSIVE lag. Only way they could miss THAT badly.

LOL not a troll in any such form. But also understood about not releasing before it's ready,BUT...that doesn't mean more of what is"possible" taken with a grain of salt can't be given? There are so many sitting on the fence waiting for the push!So far
i have seen wow to cool, nothing close enough for the average person to praise their deity of choice and thank the cosmos..Ya true i have alot of dreams and hopes for this but nothing that has given me reasons to change my shorts, close but not a total "fan boy" no offense to any.....When the NDA is lifted can't wait to hear from the non founders that actually made Beta...Average joe needs to know.

The developers can do as they see fit, as i will do as i see fit. I wont drop real money into a free game untill I have played it. I signed up for the beta, and if or when i get a beta key/game goes live is when i'll decide to spend the cash.
Quite frankly even if they have tons of media out for a game, it wont make me want to spend money on it, but it will could make me want to try it more.
Don't get me wrong, being a founder isn't a bad thing, but it is a gamble in a way. Its like how much do you want to bet that its going to be an awesome game. If mwo is an amazing, highly polished, extrodinarily fun peice of gaming nirvana, then yes, $120 is a pittence. but if it goes live plagued with problems then that $120 was, shall we say,"Placed on the wrong horse"

OP makes a good point, being that the game is as close as it is to open beta (a month or so), it's a bit strange and a little worrying that they still haven't shown any real gameplay footage. It could mean that there are a lot of problems or that they're trying to hide something about the gameplay.

Yes it is great to support MWO but to have to pay to get into a Beta......

Scripted.. hrmm.. well it was still in game footage whether they "set up" everyone to be in the right place at the right time.. still looked more like a Machima than a pre-scripted/rendered movie to me.

Now that is either just ignorance or trolling.

10,000 "Free" keys released before Founder Packages went on sale. "Open" beta coming soon.. and then on release.. the game is free to play..

*facepalm*

Because without fail, whenever a game is in development, and the developers talk about it, there is a gigantic Sh*tstorm from players thinking they know better. Then another one when people start complaining about even the tiniest detail of what was talked about being changed.

Why? Founders can say they are in Beta now.. non-Founders who are in beta can't even say that.. and Founders who ARE in beta can't say anything more than that they are in.

At the end of the day, the amount of information available to me on June 20th was MORE than enough to decide to pay $120.. if you need more great.. but as I've stated above there's heaps of videos, heaps of screenshots, heaps of developer Q&A's plus chats.. the dev's are very hard at work making the game ready so that people like you don't have to wait longer than intended to get in WITHOUT paying.

I understand what you are saying, don't get me wrong.. it's the way you (and now others) are saying it.. like it is your god given right.. that bothers me.

That's because it *is* pay-to-get-into-the beta. Founders are the ones who get into the beta. Because they showed their support by paying. When the game is released everyone will, but the game isn't released yet.

Ya know it really does seem dumb to shell out money for a game you have never played. If the game is great they will have legions of fans paying for upgrades every month and if the game is average I will probably end up saying something like "this game is pretty good for free"

Open beta isn't just around the corner. It is still Closed beta and when the 7th of August rolls around it will still be closed beta. No mention of Open beta anywhere that I've seen.
