I am also very glad to see all the cockpit items, especially war horns!

I like having war horns. But the current system of not being able to tell what mech a horn is on, and not being able to de-equip it without finding said mech, is very frustrating. It doesn't make me want to buy more warhorns, it just makes me mad.

I was never going to buy warhorns for MC because their prices are silly and they are so clunky to equip. But giving me warhorns for free has made me happy, which has increased the chance that I will keep spending money on other parts of the game. This was a good move.

(If warhorn UI was easier to work with, then I would be more likely to buy warhorns.)

Again, are you talking about Trick Or Treat 6? https://mwomercs.com...nts?t=202010tot ? If yes, then that was a pick-a-prize. The Grasshopper was just one of the options you had, and came with no special camo (neither does this one).
The last time a GHR-5H(S) was awarded in an event was in Stocking Stuffer 2019, more than a year ago - and that one was a pick-a-prize too: https://mwomercs.com...=201912stocking

at 51 loot boxes I have gotten 11 cockpit items, 5 warhorns.... 3 of those are the cuckoo warhorn lol, I think PGI is trying to tell me something

Hi there, Lance... I decided to do a little sleuthing, and here is what I came up with by method of trial-and-error comparison against Sean Lang's video image...

• Pattern — Tiger Grasshopper (750 (MC) cost)
  
• Primary Color — Olive Drab (500 (MC) cost)
  
• Secondary Color — Basic Green (Available from the moment that you create your account!)
  
• Tertiary Color — Camo Dark Green (500 (MC) cost)

...but even with all this effort, it is unlikely that I am 100% on the mark here. You may find that I did not quite figure out the exact color combination, and therefore the cost is different than what you see here. At least this gives you a starting point that can be further investigated from. Good Luck!

Hey, I'm pretty new to this game so not used to how these fantastic giveaways work yet.

I seem to be stuck on 200/300 on the pick a prize. Is 200 the max you can get to until Phase 2?

Correct. It opens up next week.

I guess you could get more if you bought GSP bundles, but otherwise, you will have to wait for the next 150 to open up in phase 2.

Hi again, Lance McRaven... I was looking at my own post after a whole bundle of hours went by, and realized that I forgot to mention something. Rather than mess up its' original state, I therefore figured a second reply was in order. My apologies if this kinda "throws you" in getting the whole message... Sorry.

Anyway, what was forgotten in my last post is this....... If you are willing to wait for a Sale to happen on the Camo Pattern as well as the Colors that you plan to get, then you can cut those costs down massively. Both of the 500 (MC) Color items would drop to 250 (MC) each, and the 750 (MC) Camo Pattern would drop to only a mere 375 (MC) to acquire it for the Grasshopper Chassis (ALL Variants, because it is not limited by specific Mech at the time of purchase) in perpetuity. (Obviously, it would be Zero Cost on the Camo Pattern if you pick the "Tiger Grasshopper" Camo Pattern for your Pick-A-Prize choice from the Current Event's options.) It really is worth waiting for a Sale for many of the things you'll find that you want and/or need.

Which reminds me... Do NOT spend out on those lousy One-Shot Camo Pattern things ever. Otherwise, you'll have to waste additional (MC) if you ever change the Pattern, and then find yourself wishing later to either come back to something that you had before or do something different. Further, because One-Shot Camo Patterns do not apply to anything more than the Mech which you are currently applying upon at the time, you would have to pay out separately for each particular Variant & Mech that you want the Camo put on. Those costs can add up and leave you feeling regret later over wasted (MC) usage that could have potentially been avoided.

Just to footnote however, these are merely recommendations & warnings based on my own learning. The final choice is yours, but I hope that I've given you (and anyone else that reads this post) enough information to make the choice that feels ultimately comfortable to you.

All the various Event Tracker pages run asynchronous of anything, including other Event Tracker pages. They will always have a 14-Day Period (2 Weeks!) during which you can Redeem Rewards that you have earned after whatever time the Tracked Event stops at. Available time to Redeem Rewards will literally NEVER expire at the exact end of when you're being allowed to acquire them, because PGI is thankfully allowing people to have time to unpack after any Event's ending.

In this case, they are merely timed to coincide with the Loot Bags' Ending and the after-period provided. That endpoint will be the deadline on "April 19, 2021 @ 5:00 PM PDT" where everything will expire, and you can safely wait until about a couple of hours before then to Redeem everything you have unlocked, if it really has to come down to that. So don't worry, because you do have time and there is no reason to panic. Your items on the Event Tracker pages are not suddenly going to disappear in a puff of smoke at the moment the Loot Bags Event is no longer possible to play, nor at the moment that a particular Event Phase Tracker happens to end.

If it happens that PGI does some Sales, I hope that it includes Engines too. It's something which I know that MWO's Whole Community would want, and I most certainly would be thankful for.
