I'll go ahead and announce it here until I get a post up, we're rolling back the weapons and MASC changes from the March patch in April, and will be establishing a Public Test Server before the end of the month, which will feature all of the weapons changes proposed by the Gulag player group (now called the Cauldron), and we should be able to run multiple iterations of PTS before the May patch, at which point assuming we have a positive outcome and consensus, those initial changes can be implemented for May.

We haven't done a Dev Vlog yet, because we had to sort this situation out, and establish our path moving forward. Now that we're confident in our plans, we'll get the Dev Vlog out within the next few days with more details about the April and May patches.

Thank you very much for the prompt feedback.

For anyone talking smack: it's not wrong to try something new. It's just that this one stung a little, at least for me :/ I've been spending the past ~6 months getting really good with C-ER PPCs on a few different 'mechs. It almost killed the WHK-PRIME; I already did a compromise build of 2xERPPC and 2xERLL just to be able to alpha without a heat spike and otherwise ridiculous heat.

The damage bump was interesting. I feel like that was lacking, given the insane heat even before the patch.

i was very happy with the changes to masc. the game should play like a mech simulation. the change to masc was an improvement to the game and was in line with previous mechwarrior games as well as what is generally considered the appropriate realistic type of battletech environment for mechwarrior games. masc is meant to function as a speed boost for a short time. it's not meant to function as a gimmick to spin around faster in big mechs. rolling back the change just simply reverts to the game to something that is less of a mechwarrior game and more of an attempt to placate whiny people who just want their mechs to spin around quickly and are upset about that changing. what is your dev team thinking? why would you revert this change? it was an excellent change. also, clearly ppcs have needed a boost to damage. that was also a good change. ppcs in this game are for several reasons weaker than in previous mechwarrior games. there is more to mechwarrior than brawling on short range maps. i hope your dev team will consider listening to whoever proposed the changes more often and following that person's lead in future development.

Pity, problem is I already un-ppc'd all my PPC builds... so yeah... a lot of C-Bills wasted then for me? O well, I'll keep them PPC-less I guess

It's not like it's easy maintaining a warehouse of over 600 mechs...

That's when, instead of rebuilding existing 'mechs, every time you want to try a new build, you purchase a new copy of the 'mech. :) Once you've got 600, you've probably already got duplicates, anyway...

Ignore the Gulag, those people don't know what they're talking about.

First thing that should be done is to fix all of the loading screens. Make the game more stable and get rid of the wait times to get from screen to matchmaking and to get in game once a match is found. Loading just to get from the home screen to the events list or the mech lab??? Still broken as **** 9 years later...

I spend more time with loading screens than in game, and I have an SSD and 16GB RAM.

I'm glad someone mentioned it. I haven't seen him live in literal years.

I streamed for 45 mins once about 6 months ago, does that make me eligible?

Maybe you should practice more so that your games last longer...

I feel like these streamer/Dev hunts would be more fun if the streamers/Devs always dropped solo rather than in groups.

Actually... not one... each of the 601 is a different variant... yes there's a couple of (S/L) models inbetween, but they are all rocking individual builds...

*EDIT* ... and yes... I play each one on rotation basis... making notes on adjustments as I go and fine tuning over time :P

So is it going to be the same thing again? You get whooped on and then you'll nerf whatever we slapped you around with?

I'm really trying hard not be a **** but...

Maybe you Devs should just stay out of the servers because it's not OP weapons that are a problem. It might be that you're just bad sports.

Actually, what would really fix this is to make these Developer & Streamer Hunts actually run for long enough that people have a real opportunity to score a Kill that gives the Rewards from such a RNG-limited situation as this. Everyone on that list of potential targets is only human, and mostly will NOT be on all the time, merely coming online in short cycles to play and be targeted for whatever Reward is attached to them. They all have lives/existence outside of MWO to have to handle, along with bodily needs (which I absolutely will avoid any detail on) that seriously & simply can not be ignored. Therefore, when PGI does one of these Developer & Streamer Hunts for everyone, they should always have it run for a minimum of 7 Days because it otherwise literally provides too small of an opportunity for most players to ever try. Heck, I can only imagine how bitter that a person with only a single hour of time to play during this entire Event is feeling. They're getting screwed the absolute worst because this Event does not even run long enough to give them another chance, if they even get any at all! :(

And in case anyone's wondering, I've seen a meager total of three targets over about 6 hours of total time. Two were placed on my Team, making them not valid for me to target. The only other one was a one-shot opportunity that has not happened again, and I never really had a chance to land it. If it happened that I had less than three hours to play, then I never would have seen any of them. Yeah, I've been put in a mental state to thoroughly know this Developer & Streamer Hunt Event is way too short. If those at PGI would add 4 Days to the end of the timer from where it is right now, then I am reasonably sure that it would most likely be appreciated by many people. -_-

*shrug*
On the first dev hunt I saw 3 or 4 streamers in about 50 matches. On the second maybe the same. Devs not at all, but this is most likely a time zone issue as I'm 9 hours ahead to Vancouver.
What would really help - and I repeat myself - was to see the tiers the streamers are in so I can figure out who of them are maybe matched against me and who are not.
So, of course there's no chance to kill a certain streamer when they are dropping at times when I can't play or I'll never meet them anyway because of the tier gasps.
I see it as a bonus which probably won't happen and just play (or not, as weekends aren't the best time to do so)

LOL, so you have 70 streamers so the odds of seeing one in 3 days is what......00005%, and then getting the kill of one is what, .00001% of the .00005%......

Yea that's about right.

About the same chances as getting those 10 UAV kills in the past events before you changed it to actually only requiring 2...since I pointed out it could take 1 player 120 games to get 10 UAV kills.

Hi, I got a kill vs TTB today and the automated system didn't award the GSP. The kill took place over 6 hours ago.

I think I killed one since I saw a large injection of GSP, but I have no idea who... wish we could see a kill log, at least via an API (without knowing the Game ID that is)

Saw TTB's alt a few times, got the kill on one match. He was gracious enough to announce the bounty on his head unlike a few of the other streamers who chose to remain silent, but were killed by the same lances (based on repeated drops and groupings) of those people in the know . . .gaming the system perhaps?

Anyway; a big shout out to TTB, great to see you participating and I enjoy your YouTube offerings.
