The thunderbolt will still die in seconds with the new higher TTK.. and well again not great choices of weapons.

Lower, not higher. Higher = longer, lower = shorter.

Some good stuff here but some serious nerfs to IS in many areas, ssrms will be left to rot.. Some serious overpowered Clan U/AC20s now.

The new mech quirks aren't anything to write home about imo, the dragon is solid but kinda poor in weapons slots.. The thunderbolt will still die in seconds with the new higher TTK.. and well again not great choices of weapons.

Lights will be crazy overpowered in the new meta, sucks to be an Assault pilot until the rescale at least.

IS took a huge number of buffs. The TDR is going to be quite strong indeed. A poptart, ECM TDR is almost impossible to be bad especially when at a baseline TDRs are already strong.

Lights wont be overpowered at all. IS MPL is the benchmark weapon and boated constantly. All that is happen is other super super bad weapons will now be viable and a number of mechs like Kitfox, Adder and other slow lights will have a multitude of weapon options now.

Is it to late to change the hard points on that dragon?

Cool! Cannot wait to try out the new variants. Just wondering is there any C-bill sales coming up?

I believe PGI are running a sale after the patch on equipment to help everyone changing up builds and experimenting with the patch.

The exact details or what and when I'm not sure. So we'll just have to wait and see what they come up with.

Very nice patch!

Can we get an image for the Tourmaline spawns?

This is the first good patch in a LONG time. It actually gives me some bated anticipation for the future of MWO. I might actually start logging in again occasionally once the patch hits.

I was sad to see Flamers were the only weapon system with no changes announced nor even discussed when these balance changes were first revealed. Hopefully we see Flamer fixes in May, though; and was quite happy to have a good discussion with Krasnopesky over them. It's a little glimmer of hope for the pyro in me.

That's something which I would also like to know. PGI used to show before & after images of a Map's configuration for stuff like this back a few years ago when such critical game-altering changes were to be made. I hope they'll restart that trend.

Is that IV4 change good though?

I don't use it, and IV4 are annoying to deal with. But it seems to me that them being overquirked ******** is what makes them relevant.

Just read the patch notes. What I am a bit confused about is what comes next? Is it agility changes? Or Quirks? The current patch bullet list would suggest it's agility. Thank you!

abit more fragile but still the same agility and offensive power considering the single weapon it uses got a tiny bit more reliable. i think its alright

I was thinking they'd alter the quirks at the same time. So this took me by surprise. And if the Gulag's changes are only partly introduced, there might be mechs that aren't where they are supposed to be, like the IV4. But like you said, it might be the case. So we'll see.

it'll be just fine, if anything i'd say the nerf is fairly conservative.

I had to search through the notes a few times too, but turns out the changes are just at the very bottom:
