I heard that only 8 or so mechs will be getting agility buffs this month. Can someone with access to the Cauldron's discord, check and report back which mechs will be getting it? I think I heard mention of Firestarter and Timby but not sure on what others...

Yeah I heard that too based on Daeron's comments yesterday. Hopefully they put up a vlog soon so we can find out what they are.

I do like the list. Seeing the Centurion and Firestarter on there as getting all the maneuver buffs is good. I'd like to see more of those mechs.

Link? What comments? The Cauldron list has the vast majority of mechs getting at least incremental buffs, with a handful getting pretty sizable ones (specifically, Firestarters, Hunchbacks, Centurions, Night Gyrs, Atlases, and Kodiak 3).

People are really trying to spread this sort of misinformation when the spreadsheets are public, SMH.

Cats outta the bag. It is correct, only 8 mechs for now.

Unfortunately there have been some challenges to work through.

I believe a DevLog will cover it and explain a little more so just have to wait for that.

they (PGI) better have a damn good reason for that..

I hope the DevLog comes soon because at face value, this information is a bit of a downer... (I am not advocating for quitting or anything, just stating my opinion for the Devs).

Its annoying but not a huge deal. I'm sure there's lots of hassle in the technical details of implementing this stuff. As long as we're gonna see the rest of the changes coming soon, there's no need to get upset.

Imo we've already been shown very good faith by getting the Cauldron weapon changes. If Daeron is telling us that the delay in implementation is for technical reasons, we should give him our full understanding and support.

Its literally copying values from a EXCEL into XML files.
I can write a script that does the update automatically in one day...

Wow, I had assumed that the thread was just someone spreading misinformation until ASH confirmed it. This is disappointing and I gather this means that the rest of the mechs won't be being altered until June. I really hope this doesn't mean that the quirk changes will also get pushed out an additional month.

Edit: thanks ASH for at least confirming, I know it must suck to be the bearer of bad news.

Lotta impatient buggers here. This isn't a AAA studio dumping money on balance changes this is a bare bones effort to shore up the games worst offending mechanics and its best to do it a bit at a time given the limited manpower. Better to do small changes on a regular timeframe instead of big global changes all at once three or four times a year. Be happy this is getting done at all. Posted Image

There are great reason(s) and I can totally understand them.

And it is not as if mobilty is dead peeps - just delayed.

Cauldron is still moving forward. We're still working with PGI (just had a 90m meeting). Changes are still coming etc etc.

DevLog will explain much more so lets not execute PGI too quickly here.

Hopefully there is a good reason like this is not an XML change or something, otherwise it'd be sheer laziness.

What are the 8 mechs?
